乾卦第二
乾卦,六爻皆阳,《彖》曰:乾道变化,各正性命。蕴含无穷变数,如同禅宗说的“机变”,anything is possible。
以千机变居易经之首,宇宙万有,动而欲出。“大哉乾元,万物资始”,“云行雨施,品物流行”,好比晨光,好比春光。像荷马《奥德修纪》里每一天都由“When young Dawn with her rose-red fingers shone once more”开始。像《坎特伯雷故事集》开篇的四月春雨:When April with his showers sweet with fruit /The drought of March has pierced unto the root /And bathed each vein with liquor that has power /To generate therein and sire the flower; /When Zephyr also has, with his sweet breath, /Quickened again, in every holt and heath, /The tender shoots and buds, and the young sun /Into the Ram one half his course has run, /And many little birds make melody /That sleep through all the night with open eye.
乾卦九三,上不在天,下不在田,虽不是天上飞龙,在地亦难为凡人。程颐以“舜玄德升闻”作注,由浅而现离隐而著,好比春在不萌枝。此位不上不下,难上难下,尴尬之处正宜书生以此自勉。
于乾元“万物资始”,于坤元“万物资生”,如《金刚经》“诸行无常”,“生灭灭生”,尝于每一瞬间,灭故生新。生机充实,是姹紫嫣红开遍断井残垣,君子乾乾,是锦屏人爱蹋春阳。
有时候天公不作美,偏叫人在无明里上路。《神曲》中的朝圣之旅始于地狱入口的黑暗森林,荒凉触目惊心(“This wood of wilderness, savage, and stubborn /A bitter place! Death could scarce be bitterer”);《黑暗之心》里Marlow出发时天气阴郁凄凉(“The air was dark above Gravesend, and farther back still seemed condensed into a mournful gloom, brooding motionless over the biggest,and the greatest, town on earth.”);同样阴霾的是《白鲸》中Ishmael登船出海的天气,肃杀冬日,船员在冷风里唱着凄凉的歌;在《荒原》里,乔叟笔下的人间四月天已经成了“最残酷的季节”。
昭昭天命,昏昏旅程,能不能从冬走到春,能不能起死回生?中国古代看起来俗气的才子佳人喜剧,没少讲这个,可以搭配卦辞来讲,也许以后有时间再写。
