Flower Anatomy + Origami Model

一个简单的五瓣樱花实物的解剖结构。
This is an anatomy of a cherry blossm-an anatomy of a very simple five petal flower.

通过理解花的结构绘制的🌸樱花几何彩色平面和剖面图,花萼和花瓣几何同构,尺寸不同,形状各异,交错布局。
By understanding the simple structure of the flower, we draw a plan and a section of the flower to analyse how each part of the flower are assmebled into it's beautiful form.

对于花萼,雌雄蕊的结构关系和他们的生物原理进一步用草图理解。
Sketches to study the structure of the stamen / sepal pistil / and the ovary

花简化为以五棱锥为基础的开放的锥体,然后用简单的折叠表达出膨大和收缩的部分的粗略想法。
Trying to simplified the five petal flower model into a open pentagonal cone shape.

花托的折纸图样,在五棱锥的基础上,进行折叠模拟出花托的杯状造型。
This is the origami design of the sepal cup, it is based on a pentagonal cone with folds and cuts to mimic the 'cup' shape.



雄蕊是在花萼内壁辐射出来的,模型另外构建一个与花萼同型的球基,顶端发射雄蕊。
Stamens are growing from the inner layer of the sepal cup.This origami design shown the same geometry of the simplified inner layer o fthe sepal 'cup'.

雄蕊的基球实际上是和花萼底托同体的内外壁。
The origami model showing stamend are growing from the inner layer of the sepal 'cup'. This model will glued to the inside of the sepal 'cup' model.

雌蕊与子房则如图在茎部连接而自成一个独立的花蕊柱和基部的果状体。
Ovary is growing from the bottom of the sepal 'cup' and will grow into a fruit when the flower is fertilised.

因而模型则在折叠的角度和收分的比例上做“瘦身”处理,便于放入花萼和雄蕊的联合“花托”中。
So, the origami model is following the same geometry but different parameter in folding angels and diameters etc. in order to build the ovary into a skinner cone.

雌蕊和子房的模型,雌蕊柱模拟为空心柱顶端剪成穗向内翻卷,模拟雌蕊接受花粉并向中央输送的结构。
Style is built as an extension from the top of the ovary cone, it is close to clinder with the top be cut into fringes and folding inwards to mimic the stigma.


花瓣以一个点在雄蕊和花萼之间生长,在授粉完成以后会自然脱落,因此接触点很小。而且与花萼的五边形正好成交错布局。
Flower petals are growing between the filaments and the sepals. They will natually fall off when the flower finished fertilization. The petals and the sepals are perfectly interlaced with each other, the petals and the sepals follow the same geometry but different in size / shape/ color and 'materials'.
