*我也有一个梦想*
1. 作为整体的人类是有这样一种特性的。那就是，第一，他是在思考的；第二，他思考的一个最基本的问题永远是与人性有关的。作为整体的人类，他不得不始终在对这个问题进行道德自行和良心拷问。这是人类有可能对”进步“二字持有信心的基本依据。
2. 在利益的潮流袭来时，他们只可能是极少数， 但是只要他们站在符合人性的一方， 他们的坚持就会奇迹般地渐渐显示出力量。
3. 黑人的逐步觉醒和更多白人的反省。
4. 原来人类的思想和人性反省是进步的一个最重要动力。
5. 一块土地，一群人，乃至整个人类，它的真正希望所在就是它的自省能力和良知醒悟，而这是建立在理性的基础上的。
6. 这是作为代表整个社会利益集团的立法机构，用立法的手段， 仅仅为一个人性反省和道德理由而放弃自身利益的一个行为。
7. 正因为这是一个由道德反省和理念推动的”自我革命“， 因此，它不可能是摧毁性的、暴风骤雨式的、瞬息完成的。相反，它是分步骤的， 是充满妥协和矛盾的。

*Utopia* Sir Thomas More
1. The Utopians wonder how any man should be so much taken with the glaring doubtful luster of a jewel or a stone, that can look up to a star or to the sun himself.
2. ……so they not only find this study highly agreeable, but think that such inquiries are very acceptable to the author of nature; and imagine that as he, like the inventors of curious engines among mankind, has exposed this great machine of the universe to the view of the only creatures capable of contemplating it, so an exact and curious observer, who admires his workmanship, is much more acceptable to him than one of the herd, who, like a beast incapable of reason, looks on this glorious scene with the eyes of a dull and unconcerned spectator.
