Cable News Network, almost always referred to by its initialism CNN, is a U.S. cable news channel founded in 1980 by Ted Turner. Upon its launch, CNN was the first channel to provide 24-hour television news coverage, and the first all-news television channel in the United States. While the news channel has numerous affiliates, CNN primarily broadcasts from its headquarters at the CNN Center in Atlanta, the Time Warner Center in New York City, and studios in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles. HLN:
HLN, formerly known as CNN Headline News and CNN2 is a cable television news channel based in the United States and a spinoff of the original cable news channel, CNN. Initially airing tightly-formatted 30-minute newscasts around the clock, since 2005 the channel has increasingly aired long-form pop culture news and opinion programming.
WTBS:
WPCH-TV, (virtual channel 17.1, transmitted on physical channel 20), is an independent television station in Atlanta, Georgia, owned by the Turner Broadcasting System, a subsidiary of Time Warner, and is the only over-the-air broadcast television station owned by Time Warner (this is despite the fact the company is half-owner of The CW Television Network, whose Atlanta affiliate is WUPA, channel 69). Known by the on-air branding of Peachtree TV, WPCH-TV has its studios and transmitter located just northeast of Atlanta.
This station was known as WTBS from August 27, 1979 until October 1, 2007, when its operations were split from the co-owned TBS. WTBS was the pioneering superstation, and its signal was carried to cable and satellite viewers throughout the United States and Canada.

The network and its international spinoffs cover business headlines and provide live coverage of financial markets. In 2007, the network was ranked as the 19th most valuable cable channel in the U.S., worth roughly $4 billion.[3] It is headquartered in Englewood Cliffs, New Jersey.[4]

Turner Network Television (TNT) is an American cable television channel created by media mogul Ted Turner and currently owned by the Turner Broadcasting System division of Time Warner. Since 2007, TNT has re-launched local versions of the channel in Spain, Germany and Turkey with more European countries in the pipeline.

Entertainment Sports Programming Network, almost always referred to by its initialism ESPN, is an American cable television network dedicated to broadcasting and producing sports-related programming 24 hours a day.
Founded by Bill Rasmussen[1] and his son Scott Rasmussen, it launched on September 7, 1979 under the direction of Chet Simmons, the network's President and CEO (and later the United States Football League's first commissioner). Getty Oil Company provided the funding to begin the new venture. Geoff Bray of New Britain, CT was chosen as the architect. George Bodenheimer is ESPN's current president, a position he has held since November 19, 1998. Bodenheimer has also headed ABC Sports, a separate legal entity now branded as ESPN on ABC, since March 3, 2003.

Launched on October 9, 1986, from 2004 to 2009 Fox was the highest-rated broadcast network in the 18–49 demographic.[3] In the 2007–08 season, Fox became the most popular network in America in household ratings for the first time in its history, replacing CBS.[3] CBS took back the top spot in the 2008-09 season, though Fox remains a solid runner-up.[4]
