Englishpod 69 How Would You Like Your Egg
1. Dialogue
A: Wow, you are up early today. What's for breakfast?
B: Well, I felt I like baking, so I make some muffins.
A: Smells good. I'll make some coffee. Do you want me to make you some eggs?
B: Sure. I'll take my sunny side up.
A: I don't know how you can eat eggs like that. Ever since I was small, I've had eggs and soldiers.
B: You know, my dad has scrambled eggs every morning for 20 years. It drove my mom crazy.
A: You know what really drives me crazy? When I asked for soft boiled eggs, and they over cooked them and they came out hard boiled. How can you dip your toast into a hard boiled egg?
B: You are so picky sometimes.
A: Here you go. Honey, fried eggs.
B: Damn it. I said sunny side up. How many times do I have to tell you?

3. Rewrite
A newlywed got up early for breakfast. The wife felt like baking, so she made some muffins. The husband made a cup of coffee and would like to do some cooking. He knew his wife liked fried eggs, sunny side up. His wife's father liked scrambled eggs for 20 years, and this drove his mother in law crazy. He also recollected his childhood. He was crazy about eggs and soldiers, but his parents often over cooked the eggs into hard boiled. It was annoying because he couldn't dip the toast into soft boiled eggs. Just this moment, the fried egg was done, but the both sides were fried. The picky wife shouted at once it was not her eggs.
