Finding the university/program that is the best fit for you is not an easy task, much less if you are looking at schools in a foreign country. We encourage students to start their search early, and compile a list of favorite programs as you meet schools and programs that attract your interest. As the time for application nears, it will get easier to narrow down your search based on your interests, as well as more practical aspects such as schedule, academic requirements and financial situations. The important thing is to have a full list to begin with, so you do not end up applying to programs just because it happened to be the only one that you knew of that fit your conditions. Start your list on JPSS My Page, “like”-ing programs that catch your eye in our newsletters, or that are introduced in our Facebook and Instagram. We also encourage students to use our search data base multiple times, coming back every few months or so. It is hard to go through the vast amount of information at once, so it is easier to do multiple searches, “like”-ing as you go along so you can come back to your list in your spare time to learn more about your “favorites”. If you don’t have an account on JPSS yet, register here https://www.jpss.jp/en/register/ 自分にぴったりの大学や学部／学科を見つけるのは簡単なことではありません。特に、自分の母国ではない国の情報を集めるのはむずかしいことでしょう。学生のみなさんには、なるべく早めに「お気に入り大学」のリストを作り始めることをお勧めしています。少しでも興味を持った大学（学部／学科）をリスト化しておけば、いざ出願の時期になればそのリストをもとに、条件（学力や出願条件、学費など）から絞り込むことはむずかしくありません。大事なことは、絞り込むための潤沢なリストがあるということです。潤沢なリストがないと、たまたま自分の条件に合って知っている大学（学部／学科）がここしかないから、という理由で出願先を選ぶことになりかねません。まずはJPSSのMYPAGEでリストを作り始めましょう。JPSSからのニュースレターやFacebook、Instagramなどで紹介している大学（学部／学科）で興味をひいたものがあれば、どんどん「お気に入り」に追加していきましょう。また、JPSSの「大学検索」機能は、数か月おきに何度も利用することをお勧めします。一度に膨大な数の中から情報を抜き出すのは大変なので、何回かにわけて検索し、少しでも興味を持ったらとりあえず「お気に入り」に入れておけば、また後日詳しく調べることができます。
