万能牌/万能卡翻译
万能牌/万能卡是游戏中比较常见的一个道具。我们看到万能的时候，往往就会有肌肉反应，脑中立刻闪现All-purpose, omnipotent, versatile等词，于是就有了All-purpose Card, Omnipotent Card, Versatile Card的翻译。
这篇文章，飒姐来介绍一个地道的翻译——Wild Card。
Wild Card（也可以是Wildcard, Wild-card）最早来源于扑克牌。在扑克牌规则中，万能牌可以充当任意一张花色或数值的牌。
而在游戏中，万能牌可充当任何卡牌，用于合成或打造相应稀有度卡牌。用途是不是很相似呢？
现代游戏中很多术语都来自于扑克，我估计扑克是早期的休闲娱乐方式，慢慢就沿用到了游戏中。比如我之前讲的大R, 中R, 小R。
值得一提的是，英雄联盟中，万能牌是个主动技能。
大家可能会好奇，野蛮野生狂野的Wild怎么就跟万能、万用、百搭搭上边了呢？搜遍全网，有个勉强称得上解释的：
“Something that is wild (such as an animal) is likely to stray, which might have led to the suggestion of wild as a modifying word for a card that is not pinned to any particular value.”
我估计二十世纪某个人在打牌的时候脱口而出, 然后人云亦云就成这样了。
另外，在电竞行业，Wild Card的意思是外卡，指的是本身没有参赛资格，但是主办方给这些没有资格的队伍一些额外的名额让他们竞争。抢到这些额外名额参赛的队伍叫做外卡队。
它的来源是来自体育赛事：
“one picked to fill a leftover playoff or tournament berth after regularly qualifying competitors have all been determined”
现在电竞都纳入奥运了，也是体育赛事，自然就好理解了。
