Now I look back to this eps, I realized lots of things I didn't realize when I watched this the first time. The knife Dolores use to shave Man in black's neck is the knife Willam used to kill the first man on the way looking for Dolores. That is a hint to the audience who man in black is, he is always this mysterious bad guy, cutting off people's skull and try to find the center of the maze. Also he has always been told that the maze is not meant for him. So we wonder, why is this maze not meant for him, what is his objective in Westworld. So we find out that man in black is actually William when the camera revealshim with the black hat, then I understand that the center of the maze is the hosts' consciousness. The center of the maze is for the hosts. When William questioned Dolores's nature and disappointed that she didn't change when he gets back to sweetwater and saw she was filtering with a guest, or that he thinks the AI's are evil because Dolores beats him up in the grave yard, I guess he was lost because of this mixed message, or shall I say the disappointing image he saw. William didn't find his true self but lost in Westworld's hosts' reality. William didn't know that all this time, he's trying to find the center of the maze which is not mean for him, it is actually right in front him in Dolores's mind, which she is approaching the center. At the time when he became Man in Black, Dolores involved closer to her conscious, but he also is the one that breaks the faith in Dolores, (perfect timing, she was just gaining conscious and thinks you really love her.) because as Dolores gaining more conscious, she is awake enough to think and remember that William is different than others, she had faith in William before he turns in to the bad person who kills, ironically he turned into the bad person on the way to find Dolores, This logic itself is looping itself. you know what am I saying??? This is almost like a Couple fight, because they only see their own perspective, I became a villain because on the way to you are obstacles, the only way to reach you is to kill the obstacles, now I reached you, I saw that you Dolores didn't actually have conscious, you were just playing your role as the way you programed, this gets boring over time, and I find my self turning vicious, also I think this is the real me. I want you to act with your own awakened mind, not just looping your self. On Dolores' side, she was like: I've been hoping and escaping all this time, I think I'm living in a nightmare, as I am awaking, I know William is coming for me, but I didn't know that you already give up when you see me at the early stage of my conscious development, now After all this time, I still think William is coming for me, because I finally involved to a stage that my conscious is leading me to the love path, until this day, now I know you, the man in black is actuallyWilliam, I thought everything happened 2 weeks ago, and we were in love, but it's actually 35 years after, look what Time had put on your face and soul. Having hope for 2 weeks is sure easier than heart breaking for 35 years. But as an AI, I'm still young and beautiful, Now my conscious reach to a hightthat I think the future belongs to us AI, we can do lots of things we couldn't ever know before I find the center of the Maze which is actually meant for us.

So I guess William just heart breaking, because he really loved Dolores because he is a human, he thinks he had true emotion for her, then he thinks that Dolores didn't really love him which might not true based on the fact that she is finding her conscious. And, Dolores, she is heart broken, because she thinks William is just another human man who descends suffer to her. The thing she didn't know is that William got diappointed when she wasn't conscious. Also William is disappointed that Dolores didn't had enough conscious to remember him. You know William, you got tricked by the park, also you might want to have more patience to love an AI, cause they develop consciousness to love you back takes time. Takes 35 years for your loved one to love you back, it takes 2 weeks to give up. William you gave up too soon man. Then 35 years later, Dolores gives you a change to realize she is involving and still loves you, but you took it all wrong. Now seasons later, you are in a mental facility after Hale which is the copy of Dolores shaves you again.
