　　光绪元宝是清朝光绪年间流通的货币之一。由两广总督张之洞率先引进英国铸币机器铸造银元和铜元，之后各省纷纷仿效，共有十九个省局铸造。光绪年间铸造了一系列银币，但江南省造光绪元宝由于不便于流通使用，故铸额极其稀少，更显珍贵。

Guangxu Yuanbao was one of the currencies circulated during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. Zhang Zhidong, governor of Guangzhou and Guangdong provinces, first introduced the British coin machine to cast silver and copper yuan. After that, the provinces followed suit, with 19 provincial bureaus casting. During the Guangxu period, a series of silver coins were minted, but because of the inconvenience of circulation and use, the amount of minted coins in Jiangnan Province is extremely rare and precious.

江南省造光绪元宝系指清代光绪二十三年到三十一年（1897-1905年）由南京造币厂铸造的机制“光绪元宝”系列银币，系清代正式铸行的法定流通银币。但铸造江南省造银币的清末，已无江南省建制。江南省设于清朝顺治二年（1645年），省府位于江宁（今南京）。清代的江南省前身是明朝的南直隶江南省，范围大致相当于今天的江苏省、上海市和安徽省。康熙六年（1667年）清廷撤江南省，分设江苏和安徽两个省。南京造币厂将其铸造的银币标明“江南省造”，是因为当时苏州已经有一个专铸机制铜元的造币厂，并且其铸造的铜元均标明“江苏省造”。为避免混淆，南京造币厂将其铸造的银币标明为“江南省造”。江南省造银币系我国货币史上有名无实的省份银币。

Guangxu Yuanbao in Jiangnan Province refers to the mechanism "Guangxu Yuanbao" series of silver coins minted by Nanjing Mint from 23 to 31 years of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1897-1905). It is a legal circulating silver coin officially minted in Qing Dynasty. But at the end of the Qing Dynasty, there was no Jiangnan silver coin system. Jiangnan Province was established in Shunzhi, Qing Dynasty (1645), and the provincial capital was located in Jiangning (now Nanjing). The predecessor of Jiangnan Province in Qing Dynasty was Nanzhili Jiangnan Province in Ming Dynasty, which is roughly equivalent to Jiangsu, Shanghai and Anhui provinces today. In the sixth year of Kangxi (1667), the Qing government withdrew Jiangnan Province and divided it into Jiangsu and Anhui provinces. Nanjing Mint marked its silver coins as "Made in Jiangnan Province", because at that time there was already a copper coin factory in Suzhou, which had a special machine, and the copper coins it had made were marked "Made in Jiangsu Province". To avoid confusion, the Nanjing Mint labelled its coins as "made in Jiangnan Province". Jiangnan silver coin is the only provincial silver coin in the history of China's currency.

　　1905年申辰江南省造光绪元宝十文铜币龙头错版币一枚，直径：28.2cm,克重9.2g,藏品正面中珠圈内镌满汉文“光绪元宝”四字，圈外上端镌“江南省造”，下端镌币重“當制钱十文”。钱币背面中镌一个飞龙，上端镌英文“江南省”，下端镌英文币重“TEN CASH”，左右两侧分别镌一个长六花星。铸造精美,包浆明显，龙鳞毕现，整体完好无损,具有非常明显的历史过渡性特征，有着难以言喻的收藏价值。

In 1905, Shenchen Jiangnan Province made a wrong version of Guangxu Yuanbao ten-character copper coin, with a diameter of 28.2cm and a weight of 9.2g. The four characters of "Guangxu Yuanbao" in Chinese were inscribed on the front of the Pearl circle, the upper part of the circle was inscribed "made in Jiangnan Province", and the lower part was inscribed with the weight of "ten-character coin". There is a flying dragon on the back of the coin, the English "Jiangnan Province" on the top, and the English coin "TEN CASH" on the bottom, with a long six-flower star on the left and right sides. The casting is exquisite, the slurry is obvious, the dragon scale is present, the whole is intact and intact, with a very obvious historical transitional characteristics, has an indescribable collection value.
