北美H-1B申请加拿大签证攻略2018

为了去加拿大攀岩&&renew H-1B，在朋友们的催促下终于办好了加签。都说申请比填写美国签证DS160简单，其实我填了快3小时还是挺麻烦的=。= 虽然是十年签证但实际只给到护照有效期:(

Timeline在文章最后。从填写申请寄出护照拿到贴好加签的护照一共17天，中间Independence Day邮局放假可能耽误了一天。

准备材料

1. 35mm*45mm digital photo. 可以自己在白色背景前拍一张，上传到这个网站加拿大签证照片resize一下。注意：加拿大签证上没有照片，只有系统留底，所以不需要打印出来。

2. 填写调查问卷：http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/visas.asp 填写完成后会生成一个reference number，记住/截图这个#.

3.在这个网站注册/登录GCKey：https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html 请记住所有用户名、密码，还有所有密保问题。

4. Travel History. 我把所有护照上的签证页及有海关章的部分都拍照上传了，一起上传的还有所有I94 history.

5. Passport. 整本护照，包括identity部分和其他国家签证，还有I797 form.

6.Proof of Means of Financial Support. 我上传了3个月的paysud+上一年的w2+3个月的银行流水。

7. Purpose of Travel. 写了300字的GRE作文，列出了我在加拿大要去的山山水水和饭馆还有理由。

8. Family Information (IMM5645). https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5645e.pdf 在加拿大没有亲戚也要填写，就是列出自己父母和直系亲属的信息。

9. Application Form(s)-IMM5257. https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5257e.pdf 如实填写即可。

10. 申请材料全部上传成功后可以付款了，100CAD，可以用信用卡(请选择没有foreign transaction fee的信用卡chase reserve, sapphire, etc.)。注意保存收据。

Tips:

* 如果是网申加签，所有的表格只能用Adobe Reader打开，Mac上的Preview和Chrome是无法显示表格内容的。

* 在Adobe Reader上填写IMM5645e和IMM5275e的时候无法签名也不用签名。

* Mac上可以用PDF Toolkit+（虽然不是免费软件，但是便宜好用：）来编辑合并删除PDF，用Preview把照片存成PDF。

* 重新登录网申网站查看状态的时候可能经常出现 输入用户名密码->选择语言->同意条款->查看申请->输入用户名密码 的无限循环，这个时候请清除浏览记录和cookie。。。

经过大概3天后，系统和你的邮件收到Original Passport Request的消息，这个时候可以准备邮寄护照和money order了。

寄护照和材料：

因为作者在西雅图，北美只有3个visa application centre (VAC)，所以选择邮寄护照去LA。需要寄去LA VAC的有下面材料：

1. 护照 2.收据 3.你的全部联系方式(详细地址，邮件，电话) 4. VAC consent form 5. Passport request letter 6. Prepaid envelope (USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate * 2, $6.7/each). 7. Money order收据(money order填好后，撕下收据拍照，收据需要跟上面材料一起寄去LA，money order要寄去Dallas而不是LA)

关于邮寄的信封，可以买两个USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate https://www.usps.com/ship/priority-mail.htm 美国境内邮寄都是$6.7一次。一个信封写VAC地址装上面的材料，剩下一个信封是用来寄回你的护照的，所以需要写上你家地址对折和材料一起装进去。

寄money order:

USPS可以买money order,只需要不到$2的手续费。

官网2018Money order价格： The fee for the Passport delivery / e-Application service is $32.27.

注意那个$37.89是walk in VAC的价格，网申只要$32.37。

因为作者选择寄护照去LA，所以money order需要寄去Dallas. 在USPS买一个境内普通平信信封就好，只装填好的money order。填写下面地址。

请记住两个Priority Mail信封的tracking number，因为网申网站并没有通知我护照已经收到/寄出或者提供tracking number。
