what does brand mean to us
It takes years and lots of money to build a brand. A brand is supposed to guarantee the quality of products and services to its existing customers and potential new customers. It establishes a strong trust and bond between the company and the customer, influencing and guiding the purchase decisions. Any negligence of the product quality will lead to a much wider and deeper damage to a brand equity today. We have witnessed that happening these past two years with infant milk powders and cars. So as an end customer, what shall we do? We will rely on our friends and family to do more research about the product quality because they are the one we can trust. In addition to that, we need torture our brain and turn it into a scientific machine that is capable and knowledgeable about the ingredients and constituents of whatever we need in our everyday life. Sometimes we have to take risks to try new things before anyone else does. Ok that is what we can do at least from our end. Once we get stronger and knowledgeable, we force the company to be more cautious about their business plan and be more attentive and persistent with their quality of products or services. During this process, we see new brands emerge and old brands linger and eventually vanish if the latter loses its essence of its brand equity that is the Promise of Good Quality.
