马特·斯图尔特，1974年出生于伦敦西郊的哈罗镇，是国际街头摄影团体In-Public的一员，2016年成为玛格南图片社的提名会员。自小好奇心旺盛，兴趣爱好一个接一个，小号、滑板、魔术、功夫，样样精通。从最初接触广告摄影，到在三年后选择成为自由摄影师，他在永远惊喜不断的街头摄影中找到了自己创作的源泉。
 
                
                
斯图尔特以过于常人的好奇心视角切入到转瞬即逝的街头生活，于普通中截取独特的画面，利用错综交织的三维空间和偶然性的色调搭配组合，营造出一幅幅富有讽刺、幽默、触动人心的斯图尔特式的街头浮世绘相片。2011年，他的作品作为伦敦博物馆永久性收藏品，参加其举办的《1860年-2010年伦敦街头摄影展》，进而巡展到美国、法国、瑞典、泰国等；2016年，出版了一本收集2002年到2015年街头相片的摄影集《All That Life Can Afford》。
 
 
                
                
Born in 1974, Matt Stuart was raised in the leafy suburbs of Harrow, North West London.He is a member of the In-Public street photography collective and became a nominee member of Magnum Photos in 2016.Since his childhood, he has a great curiosity of almost everything and he keeps changing his hobbits from trumpet, skateboarding, magic to Kung Fu, and very good at them.
At the beginning, he took up photography working as an assistant to a photographer for three years, and then turned professional by working for himself from 2000. His personal street photography work is his main focus, and finds the source of creation in the everlasting surprises of the street life.
 
                
                
 
Matt Stuart looks at the fleeting moments of street life in his tremendous curiosity to and snaps the unique images from the normal street life by using the illusion of a three dimensional interface and the contingency of color combination to create his own ironic, humorous and moving street Yamato-e photographs.In 2011, Stuart’s works were acquired by Museum of London for its permanent collection to join the museum exhibition, the London Street Photography: 1860-2010, which travelled to the Museum of the City of New York), France, Bangkok and Stockholm. In 2016, he published his book of street photography, All That Life Can Afford, including photographs made in London from 2002 to 2015.
