Part1:Words

1.Immensely：extremely;very much 极端地；非常；极大地

Eg: We enjoyed ourselves immensely.

2.Bombard

（1）to attack a place by firing large guns at it or dropping bombs on it continuously 轰炸；轰击

Eg:Our city bear a serious of bombard.

(2)to attack sb with a lot of questions,criticisms,etc.or by giving them too much information.大量提问；大肆抨击；提供过多信息

Eg:We have been bombarded with letters of complaint.

3.Polarize

(1)to separate or make people separate into two groups with completely opposite opinions with completely opposite opinions. （使）两极化，截然对立

Eg:The growing polarity between the left and right wings of the party.

(2)to make waves of light,etc.VIBRATE in a single direction 使光波等偏振

Eg:Maybe someday our human can polarize some matters.

(3)to give polarity to sth 使（物体）极化

Eg:At present,we need to polarize a magnet.

Part2:Summary

Preface and Chapter One introduce us what’s critical thinking and value,the improtance of critical thinking and how to use the critical thinking.

Critical thinking have three department:

1.awareness of a set of interrelated critical questions;

2.Ability to ask and answer these critical questions in an appropriate manner;

3.Desire to actively use the critical questions.

So why we need critical thinking?

At first,the habits and attitudes associated with critical thinking are transferable to consumer,medical,legal,and general ethical and personal choices.

Besides,practicing the critical thinking questions enhances our growth of knowledge in general and help us better understood,and how we can make it a better world.

Last but not least,use the critical thinking skills can make it clear to other people that you want to learn.

Well,how to use them?

We merely need to use them as a unit to identify the best decision available.

Then,what’s value?

Values are ideas that someone thinks are worthwhile.Values are standards of conduct that we endorse and expect people to meet.

Part 3:Thoughts

We need not be anxious about what to do or believe the wise ones will have the answer.We must assert rational control of our beliefs and conclusions.Different people have different ideas.While these ideas have no wrong or right.As a critical thinker,we need to be quite and listen.Learning to ask the right questions in a manner way. Anyone,including some experts,maybe misunderstanding you on mind. So you must have your own idea and to practice it. Only in these way can you form yourself cognize style.

我们不要担忧或相信智者会给我们答案。我们必须用理智来断定自己的信仰，做出结论。不同的人有着不同的想法。然而这些想法没有对与错之分。作为一名批判性思维者，我们需要静下心来去凝听。要学会用一种礼貌的方式去问一些正确的问题。任何人，包括一些专家，也许都会在想法上误导你。所以你必须有自己的想法然后去实践塔。只有通过这种方式，你才能形成属于你自己的认知风格。
