Being a celebrity brings more benifits or more problems?
In this eassay, I look at the benifits and the disadvantages of being a celebrity and say why I think that the benifits are generally greater than disadvantages.
The benifits of being a celebrity are clear.The most obvious,in my opinion,is that celebrity status usually means that you can make a lot of money.This,in turn,enables you to buy things like a nice home,car,designer clothes and other items.Of course ,these poccessions are not everthing in life,but they certainly help to make life a little easlier.Furthermore,having money means that you can send your children to better schools and provide your family with access to better health care.Having celebrity status is also benifical because it can allow you to meet the people of a higher social statuts,allowing you to experience more than most people.
It is clear that being a celebrity isn't always a good thing.I think many people would aggree that one big disadvantage is that you lose a lot of your privacy by being well-knowed to other people. It might be not bother you when a few fans ask for a signed photoe,but it clealy annoys the celebrities when many photographers and journalists follow their every move-and even follow the movements of their family members.Recently,in Britain,a lot of celebrities have compained about having their phone calls and messages hacked by people working by newspaper.
To sum up,I can certainly see the disadvantages of being a celebrity,but I think that the benifits overweight them. You can see this in the way that most celebrities are quite happy to be at public events where they are photoghaphed and interviewed.
