《河传》与《临江仙》，英译

　　［［2007年的旧习作。最近重温顾夐，想起有过旧玩。先贴存，英译需重新看。］］ 　　顾夐《河传》三首，二、三首皆妙，而我独爱三首上片： 　　“棹举，舟去。波光渺渺，不知何处。岸花汀草共依依，雨微，鹧鸪相逐飞。” 　　 　　汤显祖云：“凡属《河传》题，高华秀美，良不易得。此三调者，真绝唱也。（玉茗堂《花间集》卷三）。”观李珣同题，亦佳妙。 　　 　　 　　河传 顾夐 (唐) 　　 　　燕扬晴景。小窗屏暖，鸳鸯交颈。菱花掩却翠鬟欹，慵整，海棠帘外影。 　　绣帏香断金鸂鶒。无消息，心事空相忆。倚东风，春正浓，愁红，泪痕衣上重。 　　 　　曲槛，春晚。碧流纹细，绿杨丝软。露华鲜，杏枝繁。莺转，野芜平似剪。 　　直是人间到天上，堪游赏，醉眼疑屏障。对池塘，惜韶光，断肠，为花须尽狂。 　　 　　棹举，舟去。波光渺渺，不知何处。岸花汀草共依依，雨微，鹧鸪相逐飞。 　　天涯离恨江声咽，啼猿切，此意向谁说？倚兰桡，独无憀，魂销，小炉香欲焦。 　　 　　 　　龙榆生【餐樱庑词话】孙光宪之“两桨不知消息，远汀时起鸂鶒”，确是檃括顾词。两家并饶简劲之趣；顾尤毫不著力，自然清远。 　　 　　 　　李珣 　　 　　去去！何处？迢迢巴楚，山水相连。朝云暮雨，依旧十二峰前，猿声到客船。 　　愁肠岂异丁香结？因离别，故国音书绝。想佳人花下，对明月春风，恨应同。 　 　 　　【河传】 　　《碧鸡漫志》卷四引《脞说》云：“《水调河传》，炀帝将幸江都时所制，声韵悲切。”《漫志》又称：“《河传》唐词，存者二。其一属‘南吕宫’，凡前段平韵，后仄韵。其一乃今《怨王孙》曲，属‘无射宫’，以此知炀帝所制《河传》，不传已久。然欧阳永叔（修）所集词内，河传附‘越调’。亦《怨王孙》曲。今世《河传》乃‘仙吕调’，皆令也。”《金奁集》所收令词并入“南吕宫”，《乐章集》入“仙吕调”。唐宋人所作令词，句豆韵脚极不一致。但前后两片皆前仄韵，后平韵，平仄互换，则大抵相同，兹选两格：一为五十五字，前片四仄韵，三平韵，后片三仄韵，两平韵。一为五十四字，前片四仄韵，三平韵，后片三仄韵，四平韵。 　　 　　【格一】 　　 　　平仄，平仄。 　　仄平平仄。 　　平仄平平。 　　仄平平仄，平仄仄仄平平，仄平平仄平。 　　 　　平平仄仄平平仄，平仄仄，仄仄平平仄。 　　仄平平仄，平仄仄仄平平，仄平平。 　　 　　【注】第五句仄韵，与前三句同一韵部；第六、七句平韵，与第四句同韵部。 　　 　　【格二】 　　 　　平仄，平仄。 　　平平仄仄，仄平平仄。 　　仄平平仄仄平平。 　　仄平，仄平平仄平。 　　 　　仄平仄仄平平仄。 　　仄平仄，仄仄平平仄。 　　仄平平，仄仄平，仄平，仄平平仄平。 　　附译第三首。 　　Paddles stir 　　Boat floats 　　wavelets shimmering afar 　　and whereabouts forgotten 　　Flowers sway with grasses over the bank 　　Drizzling, the francolins chasing each other. 　　The sorrow of parting faltering with the sobbing river 　　Monkeys wailing 　　To whom the remorse expressed? 　　Leaning over the little boat 　　Alone, no interest for any 　　Spirit wandering unconsciously 　　The incense in the burner is charring 　　英语再写顾夐《临江仙》 　　Daffodils By The Riverside 　　 　　Gu Xiong 　　 　　Azure dyed the vast sky, and the pool clear as a mirror. 　　Leaning on the balcony, idly, sentiments coagulated. 　　Red lotus flickering all over the dress, with slim fragrance tangible 　　Ivory bed covered with exquisite mat 　　screens painted with mountains folded 　　and the jade decorated zither lied empty. 　　 　　Silently thinking of the old happiness 　　But now only grief risen with the memeory. 　　Boshan incense burner warmed while light smoke ethereally gone 　　Cicadas chanting, the meditator quiet 　　The setting sun is reclining close 　　And the little window lit. 　　 　　【临江仙】 顾夐 　　 　　碧染长空池似镜 　　倚楼闲望凝情 　　满衣红藕细香清 　　象床珍簟 　　山障掩 　　玉琴横 　　 　　暗想昔时欢笑事 　　如今赢得愁生 　　博山炉暖澹烟轻。 　　蝉吟人静 　　残日傍 　　小窗明 　　 　　况周颐在《餐樱庑词话》说：顾夐艳词，多质朴语，妙在分际恰合。孙光宪便涉俗。顾太尉，五代艳词上驷也。工致丽密，时复清疏。以艳之神与骨为清，其艳乃益入神入骨。其体格如宋院画工笔折枝小帧，非元人设色所及。 　　 　　《全唐诗》收顾夐55首，几乎无一不美。 　　纳兰性德《临江仙》英译 　　Daffodils By The Riverside 　　 　　By Na Lan Xing De 　　 　　Dripping, the droplets on leaves of plantain trees, the heart was cracking, 　　Note after note, they beat up the reminiscence of the old time. 　　Should I go to the bed? I unfold the paper of the past. 　　Written on the sheet were tiny characters of mandarin ducks, 　　I still remember how my wrist was stiff and shy when I held the brush. 　　 　　Sleepy eyes lowered, the buff silk book clothes seemed fumbled 　　Adjusted the vision, half of the things were still blurred. 　　Secluded windows, cold rain, and a lantern alone. 　　Emotions should have gone, 　　Still, you asked would there be love anymore? 　　 　　 　　临江仙 　　 　　纳兰性德 　　 　　点滴芭蕉心欲碎， 　　声声催忆当初。 　　欲眠还展旧时书。 　　鸳鸯小字， 　　犹记手生疏。 　　 　　倦眼乍低缃帙乱， 　　重看一半模糊。 　　幽窗冷雨一灯孤。 　　料应情尽， 　　还道有情无？ 　　 　　非常好奇，雨滴芭蕉到底是什么声音。总是听雨落在院子里、建筑物、地上，铁皮管子的声音，窗前只有梧桐和杨树，那叶子肉厚质软。芭蕉应该阔大而且略硬，或许除了雨滴滴落的声音，还有水珠滑动的声音也未可知。什么时候可以到江南，找个院子听听夜雨芭蕉？
