The Pioneer of Modern Politics-John. F. Kennedy
My impression of John Kennedy used to stay at a very superficial level of his rich Kennedy family, the astonishing assassination and the youngest president of the history of The United States of America. However, I never know it was him that unfolded a brand new era of modern politics of democratic countries. His fascinating tricks and political stunts that staged at the time of his presidential campaign inspired his later generations, inclouding Vladimir Putin, Nicolas Sarkozy and Barack Obama, to mimic him in order to win their presidency. Beginning from John. F. Kennedy, politicians start to tout their personal lifestyles and charisma instead of their political ideas.
In the end of 1960, only half of American people have heard of the name of Kenney. However, only 10 months latter, he was on the brink of the coming president of United States. In order to win in the state of West Virginia, which is a tough task for an upper-class catholic socialite, JFK used his money to buy support from media. By manipulating the media, he got a landsliding win in West Virginia. After he got his nominee in the Democratic Party, he also showed inborn talent to use TV debate to beat Nixon. In regard to the racial problem of that time, JFK also held a lukewarm attitude towards racial equality comparing with Nixon. But his behavior gave American people an impression that everything is possible. John. F. Kenney used this youth, vigour and richness offset his disadvantages of inexperience and finally won his presidency.
