Long-distance relationship is really really a bad idea

The title comes from How I Met Your Mother. When Ted said it, he also said it's a really bad idea. But he did it anyway and it led him nowhere. I think that's people's problem. We always see ourselves special and unique. Like we can fly against gravity, or we can beat cancer, or we can conquer the distance.
Well, sometimes we people do get what we want and feel like we have a special fate. But guess what, we never conquer the distance.
We all are its bitches.
I recently realize a important thing however. Maybe the distance is not problem, maybe people get apart just because one of them is no longer needed to the other. And it would be pretty ugly to say it directly, so we make it like it's the distance's fault. Like "it's so hard you are always away", "we can't spend time together", "you just don't get me anymore cause we have no common". Anyway, a long-distance is an excuse and sometimes truth is you are just not needed anymore.
That's how shallow people are in a romantic relationship. But I do know it is all the same for people in a friendship until now.
I don't know what else I can say.
And BTW, Will and Grace is no longer my favorite show, cause I lost all my Graces long time ago.
I guess all I can say is I am not that special and unique. I am just a person who is fooled around by life.
I have to admit long-distance relationship IS a really really bad idea and I won't make this mistake next time.
