A Good Man Is Hard to Find

看Flannery O'Connor的"A Good Man Is Hard to Find"。其中很关键的一句话是“Maybe He(Jesus) didn't raise the dead”，老师上课讲的我没听太明白，回来想了半天。我把自己归为a spiritual non-believer，总的来说有点精神追求，时不时谈下道德、救赎、二元对立啊之类的，但不相信天堂、地狱或是最后的审判之类。所以我从主观出发觉得她是不是想说，宗教将一切都简单的道德化了，蕴含着毁灭自己的因素。如果耶稣能死而复生，那么我们就抛开一切跟随他；耶稣不能的话，证明宗教是假的，那么我们就该享受自己、为非作歹，反正马上就要死了，耍一把就归西。他就像圣诞老人一样，迟早会被揭穿。但作者本人是个Catholic，所以基本排除这一想法。
于是我突然想到Catholic是不是更相信Mary。
Mary possesses a unique relationship with all three Persons of the Trinity, thereby giving her a claim to the title of Queenship. She was chosen by God the Father to be the Mother of his Son; God the Holy Spirit chose her to be his virginal spouse for the Incarnation of the Son; and God the Son chose her to be his mother, the means of incarnating into the world for the purposes of the redemption of humanity. This Queen is also our Mother. While she is not our Mother in the physical sense, she is called a spiritual mother, for she conceives, gives birth, and nurtures the spiritual lives of grace for each person.

她说:My subject in fiction is the action of grace in territory held be the devil.
祖母在小说里是个充满了“罪恶”的人物，自私而且带来了一家人的灾难。但在最后她对那个Misfits说“You are one of my own children.”显然她已经感受到了Mary‘s grace，真正成了个母亲的形象，想要真心去唤回这个浪子，即使是冒着失去生命的风险。
所以。。。我怎么觉得那么无趣呢！！
难道这就是Catholic为自己信仰的东西辩护的故事而已吗？！讨论Jesus到底复活了没，但并没有考问到宗教本身，而只是停留在其中的派系差别。以死恐吓，也只是要人信仰Mary而不是Jesus吗。。。难道只有这样人性的善才能保留吗？
可能是我见识浅，这是我阶段性的理解。
觉得宗教性解读着的可以让人觉得一切都解决了，可以找到答案。但很不真实，世界没有答案啊。
