How will you measure your life?
Last night, I asked Derek that how do you define the future of foreign bank in China. He answered as what I thought before while some of his words re-calibrate my worldview. Just go for your own interest!
At the intersection of my graduation, I am losing my way and confused about my future. What am I going to do? What will I get if I take this decision? What kind of life can I shape if I go this way? It seems that I have been gripped by my own choice, which is thought to lead to happiness before. However, more choice, less happiness.
The confusion came to a halt when I read an article on HBR this morning. The author or guru in HBS didn't evaluate anyone's decision but taught us to do it .
First, how can I be sure that I’ll be happy in my career?
Second, how can I be sure that my relationships with my spouse and my family become an enduring source of happiness?
Third, how can I be sure I’ll stay out of jail?
When answering these questions, I come to reveal that I am searching for fulfillment of my life. The success is not how high you climbing the career ladder but how happy you are.
