Tokyo's Shuhari creates instrumental melodies that are simultaneously ambient and energetic, transcending the traditional limits of post-rock. Shuhari was originally formed by guitarist Kohei and drummer Kotaro in 2008, and bassist Kodai joined soon after in 2009. When they were looking for an additional guitar player, they met Taichi, who produced sounds on the guitar that closely matched the direction they hoped to go in. In 2009, they started the "Tsuruginomai" music festival, and in 2010 they recorded their first independent, self-titled CD, Shuhari. Taichi decided to leave the band in 2011 in order to pursue a different career. Shortly after, in 2011, Shuhari went on their first tour of Taiwan, playing at the Spring Scream festival in Kenting. In the summer of 2011, they are scheduled to play shows in Beijing along with Tokyo's ONC and Half Mile Radius from Taiwan, and they hope to continue traveling and playing music overseas in the future.

ONC was formed in 2002 as a five-piece hardcore band by the only remaining current member Brownhiro. In 2004, after excessive drinking bouts at Ebisu’s Milk and Shibuya’s Gig-antic, two members left the band and ONC became a three piece band playing mainly punk rock with the occasional ska or reggae beat thrown in. In 2007 they released their first demo, Sounds Like Shit, with bassist Chie-zo. In 2008, bassist Takeshit replaced Chie-zo, and they started the popular “PORK CHOP” event in Shibuya’s Crawl Club. The band’s current lineup took shape in 2009, when bassist Kaz and drummer Youngman joined the band. In 2010 they secured sponsorships to hold the events “Subai” and “Beers Rain”, releasing a split CD Shindou with Sun and touring Taiwan with Tokyo’s Kissaco. In 2011, ONC established the independent label “ONIGIRI RECORDS”, after which they toured Taiwan and played at the Spring Scream Festival with Pororocks, Shuhari, and Half Mile Radius. Their first single “Beers Rain” was released in May of 2011. ONC is touring Asia in July of 2011 with Shuhari and Half Mile Radius, with shows planned in Shanghai, Beijing, and Tokyo.

Half Mile Radius (HMR) consists of 3 members: Dan Harrington (Guitar/Vocals), Big Cool (Guitar) and Brian Giles (drums). In 2009, they recorded their first EP and were listed as one of the top 5 bands on Jango Internet Radio for the week of April 13, 2009. In 2010, they began experimenting with different time signatures and arrangements, for a much more interesting, complex, and unpredictable sound. After touring Japan in December of 2010 and touring Taiwan with Tokyo’s ONC, Pororocks, and Shuhari in April of 2011, they are currently planning their first Asia Tour, with dates scheduled in Shanghai, Beijing, and Tokyo in July of 2011. Also in the summer of 2011, they are recording their first full-length CD, Triage, with a scheduled release date in September of 2011.
