will you catch me if i fall?
home is a space with a door,
i don't have the key.
i bring you to this world,
said my mom.
she opened the door
with her key, and let
me in. //
the door kept open for me,
when i got straight A,
when i won prizes,
when i came back from the summer camps with shiny ribbons
when i finished degrees with honors
isn't it so nice to be back home?
asked my mom
putting away
my achievements, in
her drawer, and
locked it. //
it feels so good to be returned
home,
a destination that hugs me,
a word of praise via the clicking key
though i longed for her cuddles,
she was too busy for that.
i craved for her affirmation,
she was too busy for that,
either.
but the door opens
i know she let me
in. //
today the door is locked,
i stand with a man
outside.
The key is
inside my mom's hand,
on the other side of the door.
i don't have the key.
