In a grim grey house in a grim grey town lived an unhappy man. Mr.Flinch was a mean and miserable miser, never giving away a penny.

why was he miserable? That's because he had 2 noisy neighbors. One side of his house stood a jolly red one. A boy lived in it who mended cars for living. The other side, in a bright blue house, lived a music teacher called Poppy. Each morning, The whole street shook with the noise of mending cars and The noise of music，Came through every wall of Mr. Flinch's house.

Even by putting fingers into ears and making a noise to warn them can't he stop noises. What's more, writing angry letters would cost far more money for stamps.

So Mr. Flinch can't stand it, he thought to himself and shouted it out loud------this can't go on!

Plan A:nasty tricks

Sneak into Carl's kitchen and put a dead rat in the fridge.

Climb on to his roof and carefully crawled across the tiles. Then he shouted like a ghost to Poppy's chimney.

But Mr. Flinch failed.Carl ate breakfast outside for his mother did cleaning, selling take-away breakfast to drivers. Poppy thought it was an angel last night that told her that the songs she sang were not beautiful enough. So she decided to modify her song to be a better one with more noisy instruments.

Plan B

Give each one a lot of money and ask them to move.

He failed as well. Carl and Poppy accepted the money that Mr. Flinch gave and promised that they would move as soon as they can. However, they moved into each other's house.
