校读完了《非此即彼》上卷之中的《古典悲剧元素在现代悲剧内容之中的反映》

再进“图书馆联盟”的网页，发现那里的pdf下载服务看来是被废掉了。可惜我只下载了三分之一《外族名将传》。

在注释中用到了《外族名将传》

校读完了《非此即彼》上卷之中的《古典悲剧元素在现代悲剧内容之中的反映》。发现克氏的这些审美的散文有一个共同的特点，就是开头部分的文字都特别绕，特别繁复，就仿佛是要给读者一个下马威。

和丹麦朋友说起，这叫“做代数题”。这个部分中有一句长句，校读时是重新做代数题，校完后觉得07年做这代数题时倒是没有出错。给读者的忠告当然是这句繁复的长句跳过不读也罢。

克氏这句严重炫技的句子，其片段恰恰描述出其性质：“……这个多元组合句都几乎必须被看成是对感叹风格（在这感叹风格中，理念挣脱出来但没有达成那‘在我们的共同体之中被赋予了正式性’的突破）的严重攻击，那么，我在指出了‘既然那聚结这一多元组合句的绑带是如此松散以至于那些被包含在之中的中间分句以格言方式足够自说自话地冒出来……”，展示了该散文不应有的风格:革命的风格。

但反过来，这句长句子，读者固然能够忽视，但是译者则不得不将它准确地解读并翻译出来。

就是下面这句句子：

既然“去提交出有着关联一致性的工作或者各种更大的整体”与我们的协会之努力方向是有着冲突的；既然我们的意向并不是去努力建造一座上帝在其公正之中能够降身下来摧毁的巴比伦塔；既然我们在对于“这一混乱[i]的发生是有着其道理的”的意识中承认，对于一切在其真相中的“人的追求”来说，这就是标志性的特征：“它是零碎的，并且恰恰借助于这一点，它将自己从自然的无限关联中区分出来；一种个体人格的丰富恰恰就是在于它在‘零碎的挥霍’之中的力，并且，那作为‘创造着的个体’之享受的东西也是‘接受着的个体’的享受，不是艰苦而谨慎的‘实施完成’或者对‘这一实施完成’的冗长解读，而是对于一种‘闪烁着的顷刻’的创作和享受，——这一‘闪烁着的顷刻’对于创作者来说包含有一个与‘那完成了的实施所具备的东西’相比之下的‘更多’，因为它是理念的呈现，而对于接受者来说包含有一个‘更多’，因为它的这种闪烁[ii]唤醒了接受者自己的创造性[iii]”；——既然所有这些，我说，都与我们协会的倾向有着冲突，是的，既然上面所读的这个多元组合句[iv]都几乎必须被看成是对感叹风格（在这感叹风格中，理念挣脱出来但没有达成那“在我们的共同体之中被赋予了正式性”的突破）的严重攻击，那么，我在指出了“既然那聚结这一多元组合句的绑带是如此松散以至于那些被包含在之中的中间分句以格言方式足够自说自话地冒出来，那么我的行为还不能被称作是造反性的”之后，只想提醒一下：我的风格尝试了一下去让自己看上去是它所不是的东西——革命的风格。

[i] 一座……巴比伦塔……混乱] 指《创世纪》（11：1-9）中巴别塔的故事：“那时，天下人的口音，言语，都是一样。他们往东边迁移的时候，在示拿地遇见一片平原，就住在那里。他们彼此商量说，来吧，我们要作砖，把砖烧透了。他们就拿砖当石头，又拿石漆当灰泥。他们说，来吧，我们要建造一座城和一座塔，塔顶通天，为要传扬我们的名，免得我们分散在全地上。耶和华降临，要看看世人所建造的城和塔。耶和华说，看哪，他们成为一样的人民，都是一样的言语，如今既作起这事来，以后他们所要作的事就没有不成就的了。我们下去，在那里变乱他们的口音，使他们的言语彼此不通。于是，耶和华使他们从那里分散在全地上。他们就停工，不造那城了。因为耶和华在那里变乱天下人的言语，使众人分散在全地上，所以那城名叫巴别（就是变乱的意思）。”

[ii] 闪烁（Fulguration）。对这个词，Hong在其英译本中保留了丹麦文原文并做了一个注释：

A loan word in Danish, meaning a sudden flashing (for example, the flashing of molten gold or silver), and used only once, here, in Kierkegaard’s authorship. See also Sølvblink (silver flash), Irony, KW II (SV XIII 272); Stages, KW XI (SV VI 61). “Officiality” and “anacoluthic” (pertaining to a changing from one grammatical construction to another without completing the former) a few lines down are also loan words. The first is used only three times in the authorship (twice in Either/Or and once in Point of View) and the second only here. If the three words (and “amphiboly” on p. 127) seem odd in English, they make the impression intended, for they are still more odd in Danish and in the entire authorship. They are in keeping with this periodic tour de force in the paragraph.

这个段落的这句长句是非常繁复的，需要理清句子成分的顺序，这种繁复为丹麦语读者（当然也对译者们）的阅读带来极大的麻烦，我们也可以从Hong的这个注释中看出这一点来。

[iv] 丹麦语是Periode，在这里的意思是：语法用词，多元组合句，或者说，套叠的长句。

Hannay英译是 Seeing it is contrary to the spirit of our Society to produce closely coherent works or greater wholes. Seeing it is not our purpose to labour upon a Tower of Babel which God in His righteousness can descend upon and destroy.
