The sage’s policy is to rule his nation without unnecessary interference with people, without asking people to do many things his the government, but rather to make everything as simple as possible.
Action would always start from “small” growing to “large”, from “few” expanding to “many”. The sage always returns mercy for hatred.
Handing a difficult situation, you must start with doing something easy; handing a great task, you must start with performing a small thing.
All great achievements come from the small beginnings.
The sage never wished to accomplishment a great mission, but made great accomplishments nonetheless.
Easy to make promise often does not make it. Thinking too easy often meets difficulty.
The sage treats everything as a difficult thing. Consequently, he does not meet any difficulty.
