关于滚石杂志最近更新的500张最伟大音乐专辑
滚石杂志"Rolling Stone" 与2003 年发布首版的The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time，并与2005年和2012年做了更新。最近（2020年9月22日），滚石杂志再次对词列表做了修正（一次很大的更新），最新列表由另一次投票产生，投票人包括300多名音乐人、制作人、乐评家和其他音乐圈的人。
时代杂志、NME以及其他杂志或网站也都推出过类似的排名。但相对来说滚石500的名气最大、引用最多。这类列表网站会引发很大争议，这次也不例外，也许相比以前的版本争议更大。此贴主要是个人的一些评论和吐槽，完全从个人喜好和对流行音乐史粗浅的理解出发，不期望有任何权威性。后面我会贴出完整的排名列表。
1, The Beatles （披头士乐队）
Beatles 对流行音乐的影响无需多说。滚石500 以前的版本中，“Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band“ 都是首位，在其他很多专辑排名中也是如此。虽然也有很多人认为“Revolver" 好于 Sgt. Pepper， 但其下滑到第24位还是很令人吃惊。总体来看，虽然Beatles 依然是被收录最多的乐队，其总体排名下滑尺度非常大。上一个版本中，前五名有三张Beatles，前十名有四张Beatles. 而最新列表的前十名只有一张Beatles： Abbey Road 排在第五名。
我不得不认为Beatles 这次真的被严重低估了。
2，Marvin Gaye
Marvin Gaye 的 'What's Going On' 是新的No.1。这是我非常喜欢的一张专辑，创作（词、曲）、演唱、录音质量、专辑封面和历史含义都非常棒，而且久听不厌。个人认为这张绝对配的上Top 10. 但Number 1？它比Beatles 每张专辑的影响力都更大？我不太同意。
3，David Bowie
声明：David Bowie是我最喜欢的音乐人。Bowie有5张专辑被收录，但最高的Ziggy Stardust 被排在第40名（下滑五名）。抛开个人喜好，考虑到Ziggy Stardust 对Glam Rock 、概念专辑的影响，我认为Bowie 的作品被低谷了。
4，Kanye West
若干张Kanye 的专辑被收录且排名很高，seriously? 承认Kanye 对现在的流行音乐的巨大影响，但毕竟没有经历更长时间的考验，如果证明其影响力大于很多Beatles, Bob Dylan, Bowie, The Velvet Underground, etc 的作品？
5，Pet Sounds
Pet Sounds 对专辑录音的影响很大，但个人对这张一直不是很喜欢，对于其依旧稳居第二名嗤之以鼻。（也许是纯粹个人喜好）
6，Hip Hop
Hip Hop 专辑排名明显上升，Rock 专辑排名明显下滑，的确反映了目前Hip Hop 占流行乐坛统治地位的事实。如果这只是21世纪的排名列表我觉得非常有道理。但如果说是all-time-greatest，考虑到近100年的流行音乐史，对于50年历史以上的依然影响力很大的经典专辑过于低估了。
7，All Time, All Genre, Whole World
一大部分争议来自于此排名一直号称是专辑史的最伟大专辑，但其中的各种偏见又是如此明显。
关于“伟大“: 仅有300名“相关人士”投票产生，是否称作“Favorite Albums" 比"Greatest Albums"更合适？
关于曲风：如果证明一张Hip Hop 比一张Rock/Funk/R&B/Fold/Blues/Jazz/Country/Reggae 更伟大？
关于地区：美国、英国几乎统治了整个列表，把其他200+ 国家的音乐往哪里放？是否应该称为 “Favorite US/UK Albums”? 即便是这两个国家，其明显偏向于美国专辑。
8，其他吐槽
Bob Marley: 作为最知名的非欧美音乐人，他的一张精选集难道比其他任何录音室专辑更伟大？
'White Album' 仅仅排在第29名？
George Harrison 只有一张专辑入选，排在第368 名？
Jimi Hendrix 进不了前十？
Taylor Swift 'Red' 比 'Led Zeppelin'， 'The Clash'， 'Sticky Fingers'，'Hotel California'，'Catch a Fire'，etc 更好？
Jazz 专辑最高才排在第31名（'Kind of Blue'）？
