走近契诃夫——我译《作弄》之〈不幸〉（2-3）
Sofya Petrovna stole a glance at her companion. Screwing up his eyes, he was looking intently at the [1] fluffy clouds. His face looked angry, ill-humoured, and preoccupied, like that of a man in pain forced to listen to nonsense.
索菲娅偷偷地看了一眼，他正眯着眼睛，凝视着天上的白云。他有点恼怒，情绪低落、心事重重，似乎正在饱受煎熬，还得听别人唠叨。
“I wonder you don’t see it yourself,” Madame Lubyantsev went on, shrugging her shoulders. “You ought to realize that it’s not a very nice part you are playing. I am married; I love and respect my husband.... I have a daughter... . Can you think all [2] that means nothing? Besides, as an old friend you know my attitude to family life and my views as to the sanctity of marriage.”
“难道您自己不明白？”索菲娅耸了耸肩，继续说道，“要明白您这是在玩火。我有家庭，我爱我的丈夫，我尊敬他……我有女儿……您认为这些无关紧要？作为老朋友，您知道我对家人的态度，婚姻很神圣。”
