智能，Smart 和 Intelligent的区别

做技术翻译的，应该都碰到过“智能”这个词。英文里有Smart和Intelligent，何时用Smart，何时用Intelligent？ 见过拥有多年经验的自由译者，傻傻分不清楚，不管是何产品，统统 intelligent…… 其实稍作分析，很容易就能区分。 「小身材 小聪明 网瘾少年」 Smart里有个字母s，我们不妨联想到衣服的s码。论外形尺寸，smart智能产品普遍小巧轻便。 江湖上有名的非主流杀马特，源自英文smart，意指时尚聪明，却个个一副不太聪明的亚子。smart的智能产品相比人工智能，也没有太高程度的智能化，无需思考和判断，主要是联网，按设计好的程序实现功能。 词典释义：A smart device is able to do many of the things that acomputerdoes, for example toconnect to the internetanduse software.能做电脑做的很多事，联网，使用软件。比如： 智能手环 smartband智能手机 smartphone智能卡 smart card智能锁 smart lock智能家居 smart home智慧城市 smart city 智能摄像头 smart camera 「高智商大块头」 智商IQ里有intelligence，恐有一日会反杀人类的人工智能AI里也有intelligence。由此可见intelligent更接近人脑智能，intelligent智能设备往往运用算法，自主学习、思考、判断或运算。 譬如无人驾驶智能车辆intelligent vehicle，仿佛装上大脑，通过机器学习、机器训练，可以像人类一样识别环境，根据交规判断决策，实现自动驾驶。  词典释义：Something that is intelligent has the ability to think and understand instead of doing things automatically or by instinct.有思考、理解的能力，而非自动或出于本能。 下次若分不清该用smart还是intelligent，从这两方面判断，想想产品是否需要执行更复杂、接近人脑的操作。不能保证完全准确，但八九不离十。 你品，你细品。
