Describing a leisure activity you do with your family
- what it is
- When you do it
- How you do it
- And how you feel about it
The activity I would like talk about is the shopping which i do with my on weekends, but most of the time is window shopping. My dad is not a big fan of this, he prefers to take a granny nap on the sofa in his toasty new slippers. My mom retired about two years ago, and she goes to the college specifically for senior citizens during the weekdays. At the same time, i have a full time job (or i am a full time student), therefore, we do not have much time spending together. Weekend seems to be the only time that we can be together for the whole day. We usually have a nice brunch before we go to the shopping mall, or sometimes we have dim sim instead. We have been to a lot of wonderful cafes. The best thing i think about the shopping, or window shopping to be more precisely, is that it allows for a time that my mom and i to exchange our ideas over a lot to things. Such as fashion choice, events reported in the news, or even gossips about others. That is also an ideal chance for us to know about each other’s life. I thought my mom felt being left behind for a while when i just started work (or uni), so recently i try to talk to her more often, and let her feel that she is still participating and engaging in my life. I remembered it was around the Christmas, and i can recall that day clearly. On that day, we prepared lovely Christmas gifts for each other. She gave me a very nice necklace and I gave her a sparkling ring. I think the reason i like the photo because it remarks the beginning of our forever long friendship. And Shelly is quite a nice girl. We met at an interpreting class, she was sitting just next to me on the first day of the class. I didn’t expect i could get such a close friend as it is a crash course. And we have been very close friend since then. She is such a nice person, she even agreed to went to a Raman restaurants with me which was 2 blocks away from the school during the lunch break on the first day we met. About one year later after taking that photo, i moved in her apartment and we became roomie. Describing a person who is good are his or her job
- who this person is
- What his or her job is
- How he or she likes the job
- And explain why this person is good at the job
The person who is good at her job is Luke. He was my college, and we had been worked together for about 2 years. His job was the project manager in the company. I am not sure if he liked his job, but he was in the for 5 years before I joined in. The reason i think he is very good at his job because he is very professional. We were working in a construction industry, gas pipeline construction and design to be more specifically, which means we need to calculate the specifications. Every time he numbers he gave me were very precise and exactly met the clients’ needs. For example, we were working on a pipeline high pressure gasoline. The metres he gave was just 10cm longer than the one used in actually installation. Almost all the projects he worked on received positive feedback from clients, which is difficult in the construction industry. Also, he is a nice person to work with. He was willing to teach new comers and show them how to read the drawings and calculate. Describe a place where you read and write (not your home)
- where this place is
- How do you know this place what do you do there
- And explain why you think that’s a good place for reading and writing
The place I would like to read and write is the Swinburne library which is next to the place where I live. The library is quite spacious, I used to study there for my CPA tests. I knew that place because my roommate, she was a student of the Uni, and she recommended me there. I think that’s a good place for reading and writing because it has a lot of seats even during the final exam weeks. And there are different areas for different needs. For example, it’s second floor is for group discussion, so i can discuss questions encountered in reading and writing. Also, it has quiet study areas, so you will not be interrupted when you need your own space. I like studying in there when I finished work and when i put my headphone on, turn the first page and start reading books, i think i can find the inner peace. Describe something or activity you do to stay health
- what the activity is
- When and where you usually do it
- How you do it
- And explain why it can keep you healthy
The activity i would like to do in my free time to become healthy is jogging. Sprinting around trees, fallen leaves crunching underfoot, it has been one of my morning routine. When I run, I feel like I'm achieving something. I'm getting faster, stronger. It's like a series of small victories.About 5 years ago, I began jogging to improve my fitness when i was a student at uni. Now it has become a part of my daily life. The reason i think it is healthy because it is speeding up my blood cycles, strengthen my lungs muscles, and build strong bones. It also improves my sleep, i can sleep as tight as a baby at night. Moreover, it makes me mentally stronger as well. Before jogging, i didn’t believe i was capable to resist one single activity. I thought i would get fed up on one things quite quickly. This activity makes me believe i am mentally able to achieve anything if i would like to and put efforts into. YIMIAO
