Lindernia microcalyx & L. madagascariensis

严格说来， Lindernia microcalyx 是一个存疑的母草，至少在之前提及多次的那篇新世界母草属的文献 (Lewis, 2000) 是将此种作为圆叶母草的异名。

Pennell and Stehl6 (1937) compared Lindernia rotundifolia to their newly described L. microcalyx, citing differences in the anterior filaments and in the length of the calyx and corolla. Adams (1972), Williams (1972), and Standley and Williams (1973) identified similar New World specimens as L. rotundifolia; I concur, placing L. microcalyx in synonymy.

即，圆叶母草与小萼母草的区别在于前方花丝的差异，以及萼片和花冠的长度。

然而昨天提到过，分子证据不支持这两种母草的归并（Fischer E, Schäferhoff B, Müller K, 2013）。

仅靠标本也似乎不太容易区分小萼母草与圆叶母草。

而马达加斯加母草的标本则有较为明显的不同，叶片要小很多。

可惜的是这小萼母草没有可靠的实物图片；马达加斯加母草仅有下面1张插图（Fischer E, Schäferhoff B, Müller K, 2013, Fig. 2, D）

D 即为 Lindernia madagascariensis

花朵非常纤细，类似于褪了色小一号的小萼母草。
