　　2000年成立於中国北京，由精力旺盛的云南籍主唱张智勇“老猫”领军。从“出发”的青春宣言到“无法停下”的理想主义，历经数次人员的重大变化和岁月的磨练，这支中国赫赫有名的重型军团完成了由早期在国内具有探索性的带有浓重工业电子化倾向的金属风格向现在的硬核/金属的必然和必要的转变。
2009年AK47乐队洗尽铅华回归故乡、重拾生活的勇气和音乐的本质，成员也更
新为清一色的云南阵容。

2001年受邀参加第二届迷笛音乐节并每年参演至今。
同年底独立制作“AK47”同名EP发行并获得媒体评选“年度最佳新晋乐队”
和“十张优秀地下唱片之一”。
2004年底签约香港王国文化集团有限公司。
2006年1月首张专辑《出发》在延误近一年的时间后正式发行.
2006年9月参加“BEIJING POP FESTIVAL”北京流行音乐节与Placebo、 Skid Row、
Supergrass等欧美大牌乐队同台演出.
2007年3月凭首张专集《出发》获得第七届蒙牛酸酸乳全国（包括港澳台地区）音乐
风云榜"年度最佳摇滚新人"奖项。这是国内地下音乐界首次以强悍曲风获得
的主流荣誉.也将在中国流行音乐史上留下有意义的一笔.
2007年5月签约北京飞行者唱片.
2008年2月受邀参演徐克电影[女人不坏]的拍摄.
2008年12月第二张专辑《无法停下》正式发行.
2009年凭借专辑《无法停下》的成功发行，再获全国（包括港澳台）第九届蒙牛酸酸乳音乐风云榜“年度最佳摇滚专辑”、“年度最佳摇滚单曲”两项提名。最终，歌曲“河流”获得“年度最佳摇滚单曲”之奖项。
年底再获新设立的首届迷笛摇滚奖的“年度最佳金属乐队”奖项 。

“Light from Yunnan”, the band Ak-47 was found in the year 2000, their music foundation is hard distortion combined with lots of other elements. Their wrathful music with poetic lyrics, unified stage outfits with throat cutting stage appearance, reflect the beauty of violence. AK47 is regard as “international standard new industrial metal band”. Their performance is cool and powerful, just like their music, genuine and sincere. With not only powerful heavy metal, but also psychedelic electronic elements, the band managed to make their music more expressive, and delicate. In March 2007, the band won the “best new rock artist of the year” in the 7th Fengyun Music Chart awards, and it was the first time a heavy music group won such award, which is a very meaningful breakthrough of Chinese pop music history.
