Let’s face it. Most of us don’t really know what we want when we are 18. Jack Ma didn’t know he wanted to be a business innovator when he was 18. It is normal, so just relax. College is not just about tests and exams, hard as it may be for you as a high school student to contemplate. Academics, tests, exams and careers are important, but college is really about finding yourself, trying out different majors, exploring different facets of life and thinking about your goals and plans. College is that transitory step between teenager-hood and adulthood and is that time where you can think, contemplate and chill before the burdens of life and adulthood start in. Decades later, when you look back to your college years, you are going to think: Those were really the best years of my life.

Perhaps it is the fact that our professors are the best in their field, that they come equipped with interdisciplinary backgrounds, scholarly accomplishments and real-world experiences. And they teach! We are not going to foist you off to a teaching assistant who is but a humble graduate student but our professors care for you and will offer you that personal attention to ensure that you learn and grow and develop into a confident, global citizen.

Perhaps that is why our students are accepted to the top graduate schools in the States and launch satisfying careers upon graduation. Our May Term is one of its kind, where you can spend 4 weeks diving deep into a subject of interest, be it the History of Wine or Internet Afterlife. Many students use the May Term to study abroad. You can take a physics class and follow the footsteps of Galileo in Italy or scuba-diving to study the sustainability of eco-systems in Palau. If you have something you will like to study outside of our more than 40 majors, craft your own! At our Johnson Center for Integrative Studies, you can take charge of your own education and design your own major. Previous Johnson Center students have majored in “Integrative Marketing and Sustainability” or “Creative Expression through Psychology and Humanities”. At the University of Redlands, you actually get the chance to study what you like. College is 4 precious years of your life. Why waste it studying something you dislike and aren’t interested in?

我们的校园位于美国加利福尼亚州的雷德兰兹市，这里属于典型的南加州气候。一年中大部分时间都是晴朗温暖的日子，在这里你不必忍受寒冬腊月。这里距离沙漠、海滩、山脉以及洛杉矶的各种精彩城市设施和便利条件都很近，仅需45到60分钟便可到达这些地方。还可以去国家公园徒步旅行，去滑雪、冲浪、采摘苹果、参观博物馆和俱乐部等等。

We are located in Redlands, California, where the weather is typically Southern California. It is nice and sunny most of the year and you do not have to endure harsh winters. If you like beaches, we are located an hour away from some of the most beautiful beaches on this planet. If you like hiking, we are 20 minutes away from San Gorgonio Wilderness Area, which offers nature walks and hikes through pristine forests and mountains that are lovely in the Fall. If you miss the big city, we are just an hour away from San Diego and 2 hours away from Los Angeles.
