外向=能说，内向=沉默？错了！专家说性格差异是这么一回事
职场上，性格和学历一样，是公司招人时会考虑再三的因素。
很多岗位的确很挑性格，比如做市场营销、公关和销售的，就要能说会道、外向开朗的人才能够吃得开。
而做财务、行政的，还是内向踏实型的人需要能坐得住板凳。
在我们的普遍认知中，外向=outgoing，内向=shy
所谓外向嘛，就是能说会道，善于交际；内向就是阴郁沉闷，封闭自我。我们动不动就爱给人贴标签：她是外向的，比较好相处；他太内向了，总是摆臭脸。
然而，国外早就有专家研究表明，这种认知是刻板、片面的。性格区分并不是简单的情绪对立。
关于内向和外向的性格研究，最早由20世纪早期瑞士心理学大牛卡尔·荣格提出。他提出过 Ambivert Personality Continuum Scale（两向性格连续标尺）模型，如下
在这个标尺中，
左边是 Introvert（内向型）性格 右边是 Extrovert（外向型）性格 中间是 Ambivert（中间型）性格
他的研究最为经典的贡献可以总结为一句话，那就是：
It’d be much more likely that we are somewhere in the middle. 我们中大部分人，都落在这个性格标尺某个点。
There is no such thing as a pure introvert or extrovert. Such a person would be in the lunatic asylum. 没有绝对外向或内向的人。如果真想找，那么只能在疯人院找到。
也就是说，我们大部分人的性格并不是非此即彼，要么是外向，要么是向内，我们都位于标尺的某点上，性格中夹杂内向和外向因素。
那么，你是否好奇内向、外向的性格差异是如何形成的呢？
最新的研究表明，内外向性格差异主要与我们获取能量的方式有关。
换种说法，性格差异与“我们如何补充大脑能量”（how we recharge our brains）有关。
第1则 能量获取差异
研究发现：
内向型的人通过独处获得能量。如果他们在人群中，特别是吵闹的环境中太长时间，他们反而会失去能量。 Introverts tend to recharge by spending time alone. They lose energy from being around people for long periods of time, particularly large crowds.
相反，外向型的人通过和他人相处获得能量。如果他们一个人呆得时间过长，就没什么活力。他们通过社交的方式让自己活跃起来。 Extroverts, on the other hand, gain energy from other people. Extroverts actually find their energy is sapped when they spend too much time alone. They recharge by being social.
对于这点，小编我特别认同。我有个朋友就是外向型的，他的外号是 Social Butterfly，人称“小公主”，无法忍受一个人吃饭、周末没人陪伴。
对于他来说，朋友的陪伴让他不会感到空虚，让他心安自在，能帮助消除疲惫，重新找到活力。
而对于我这个向内型人来说，我更喜欢一个人慢慢整理思绪，自己分析问题，这种独处让我感觉到一种宁静的秩序感，让我心里很有力量。
说白了，内向和外向，就是所需要的“能量棒”不一样，独处和社交就是不同人获得能量的两种方式。
第2则 反射弧长度不同
科学家还说：对外界刺激的敏感性和感知度不同造成了人类性格差异。
Hans’s theory was that extroverts have a lower basic rate of arousal. This means that extroverts need to work harder to arouse their minds and bodies to the same ‘normal’ state that introverts might reach quite easily. 外向型人感触能力较弱。也就是说他们需要比内向型的人花更多力气才能唤醒脑袋和身体。--- 心理学家 Hans Eysenck
因此，外向型的人需要不断寻求新鲜、刺激，并渴望别人的陪伴。 This leads extroverts to seek novelty and adventure, and to crave the company of others.
而对于内向型的人来说，他们的感知力较强，很容易就能感到外界刺激。 For introverts, this kind of stimulation can be overwhelming, since their rate of arousal is much higher, so they are stimulated easily.
所以，独处时间、一对一的交谈、可预测的情境对内向人来说更舒服。 Time alone, one-on-one conversations and predictable situations are more likely to be pleasant for introverts who are more sensitive to external stimulation.
简单来说，就是内向和外向型人的反射弧不一样。内向的人心思细腻，反射弧比较短，能快速感应到环境的细微变化，以及他人言语行为纵深出的深意。
这就好比两个温度计，一个对外界温度变化反应特别灵敏，一点点降温、升温都能敏锐捕捉到；而另一个反应迟缓，外界怎么变，对他们刺激都很小。
这也解释了为什么，很多内向型人喜欢独处，这是因为他们对起伏不定的环境太敏感了，变化对他们来说是心理上很大的负担。
而另一方面，外向型人因为反应力弱，总是爱找刺激。
第3则 大脑处理方式不同
性格不同，也会影响大脑对刺激的反应和处理。 That is, the stimulation coming into our brains is processed differently depending on your personality.
对于外向型来说，刺激途径路线较短，主要通过味觉、触觉、视觉、听觉区域。 For extroverts, the pathway is much shorter. It runs through an area where taste, touch, and visual and auditory sensory processing takes place.
而对于内向型的人，刺激途径路线较长、较复杂，主要经过记忆、规划、问题解决区域。 For introverts, stimuli run through a long, complicated pathway in areas of the brain associated with remembering, planning, and solving problems.
这就解释了为什么，外向型的人总看起来大大咧咧，说话快人快语，做事风风火火，而内向的人总是给人一副精于算计、颇有城府、沉默寡言的感觉。
说到这，我们该明白了吧，所谓内向和外向并不只是shy和 outgoing的区别。
性格差异是由能量获取（补充）方式、反射弧长短、大脑处理方式不同造成的。
所以，对于这种由于生理机制差异导致的性格不同，我们也不要再随便贴标签了，或带着优越感、偏见感看待他人。
