我经常想象自己处于一个没有黑暗的世界里，我可以看清存在和发生着的全部。包括它们的色彩、形体的每一次变化和转折，微小的动作表情，甚至空气里流淌着的让人难以捉摸的情绪。

面对绘画时，我们看见的是什么？
 
聂世伟选取了具有普遍性的世界基本事物和人物关系作为绘画的对象，这些对象并非在单一个体上具有特殊意义，但都真实的来自于生活和自然，存在于我们每一个人的周围。对于强调绘画性的艺术家来讲，图像本身的叙事被削弱，画面中的色彩、空间、形体、用光和笔触里带有的手感是其魅力所在。
 
聂世伟的绘画更多的从绘画的语言出发，并不强调每一张画面的意义。从这些基本事物中无法辨别具体时代和社会背景，抽象概括的造型中无法追查到人物的社会身份和地位。层次丰富的灰，弱光的空间、抽象的造型共同造就了画面凝固的时间感，乃至人物之间微妙的气氛。由中心向外逐渐过渡的光源如同光环，使处于好似逆光中的对象都有莫名的神圣感，让我们不禁去想象这是不是一首对飞鸟对山川对人类之爱的赞美诗，厚重的灰色调又让你怀疑这是不是一首对万物的哀叹之歌。艺术家有意识地取舍和表达让我们更直接的去面对自然中的世界，去提问和追本溯源。
 
而这些都是我们的想象，我们在面对绘画时，面对的是艺术家带给我们的想象
 
“微光 - 聂世伟个展”于2016年12月30日至2017年2月17日展出。
I oftenimagine myself in a world without darkness so that I can see the existence andoccurrence of everything clearly, including their colors, every change andturning of the body, tiny movements & expressions, and even elusiveemotions flowing in the air.

What do we see inthe face of painting?
 
Nie Shiwei selectedthe universally basic things and the characteristic relationship in the world aspainting objects. These objects do not have a special significance on singleindividual, but all from the real life and nature, existing all around us.
As for the artistswho emphasize the painting, the narration of the image itself is weakened, so thecolor, space, form, light and the hand-feeling of brush are where the charminglies.
 
Most of Nie Shiwei’s paintings start from painting languagewith no emphasis on the significance of single picture. The specific era andsocial background can be distinguished from these basic things so that thesocial identity and status that can not be traced from modeling can besummarized thereby. The grey of rich gradation, weak light space and abstractshape all form the sense of time with freeze frame and even the subtleatmosphere between the characters. The gradual transition of light source fromthe center towards outwards is just like the aureole, endowing the objects inbacklighting with unexplainable sense of sacred, which makes us can’t helpthinking if it’s an anthem for birds, for mountains and for human-beings. Thethick grey tone also make you suspect if it is a song of lament for all thingson earth. We can face the world of the nature directly by the conscious choiceand expression of the artists.
 
And these are our imagination. When we are in theface of painting, the imagination brought by the artists is what we will face.
