On Human relationship
![]() |
Each day when reading news, undoubtedly we shall witness terrible things or disasters caused by either monsterous criminals or tribal conflicts , which are rampant and spreading like diseases giving rise to horrible human suffering.
Why? The striking inhuman atrocity that occurred in many countries like Combodia, Rwanda are still lingering in many people's mind. The images of women children who were slaughtered in the most cruel and dehumanizing way you can imagine are so shocking that we dare not to see or even think. Why is it? and why such terrible things are nevertheless haunting us?
We are of the same origin and we all love our families and friends, but how is that we are divided by races, religions, or status. what caused the distinction and prejudices? Why do people like white over black, pretty over not pretty? tall over short? educated over uneducated?
I assume it roots in our education, in our cultural presumptions and assumptions, these stereotypes and fake heritages. Let me explain so that I may not fall into the same pit of self-assertion. I dont want to impose my view on anyone or give any judgement. I only hope that the world becomes better in a way that on one is harmed by another becouse of hatred and misunderstanding. We are free folks with free will. We can make our own decisions of what we like or dont like. But this doesnot mean our likeness or preference is the only benchmark or criteria to decide what is good or bad, right or wrong, this doesnot mean we can give our opinions without further consideration of the reserve or negative influences it might have on people whose mind are like a piece of blank paper, who may be misguided and thus do something bad which is not intended by the initial speakers. Nor does it mean we can judge people from another different culture or tribe about their traditions and social prastices.
It is believed we as human beings living in this planet for thousands and thousands of years unanimously share some values for beauty, kindness, love, courage...,We can build a better future if we appreciate these values and try to pretect them rather than detroy or blemish them out of self-interest, selfishness and occasional craziness and madness. WE should teach our kids, the future generations, to read widely, to appreciate diversity and variety, to love difference, to embrace good wills and kindness, to forsake prejudice and self-assertion. Only in this way can we hope that this life is worth living and the world is worth staying and the course we are undertaking are worth striving for.
Buddha said, hatred is never ended by hatred but by love.
Human relationship is the most complicated thing on this earth. there is a long way ahead. and the reality is not gratifying. We are on the way.
