Host and hostess: Harry & Momo
The weather became worse on Thursday. I was so afraid that not many people could make it. But it turned out that my worry was misplaced. People were more than I expected, love U. It made me both happy and nervous, cause it was the first time to host in 2016, with my new partner Harry. Luckily, Harry masters excellent English, he's a great help when I was in a brown study.
Our topic tonight was Music, which meant we would have live shows to enjoy!
一到周四天气就变脸了，好担心没什么人来啊。但是事实证明我的担心是多余的，来的人超出预期，好爱你们哟。然，这让我既开心又紧张，今年第一次而且跟新搭档Harry主持啊。幸好Harry的英语棒棒哒，我当机了他也可以接的天衣无缝。哈哈。
今晚的主题是音乐，现场表演绝对是少不了！
❤TOPIC: MUSIC❤
1. What type of music do you like the most? Why?
2. Can you play any musical instruments? What's your favorite musical instrument? Explain.
3. Who is your favorite singer? Why? Can you sing one of their most popular lyrics?
4. Do you know the song of the Legend of Phoenix(凤凰传奇)? Can you think of other songs like that?
5. What does music mean to you? How does music impact your life?
Hunter, Tracy, Darren, Nancy and Cindy represented their groups to share us something about the music. There're many types of music: classic, pop, rock and roll, jazz, country, blues...I don't have a favorite type. I like them all. Both Tracy and Darren like Eason Chan. His songs are so touching. Also I don't have a favorite singer (I don't like them all). Mostly, I know a song from the movie.
Hunter, Tracy, Darren, Nancy和Cindy代表各组上台做了简单分享。音乐有很多类型：经典的、流行的、摇滚的、爵士的、乡村的、蓝调的...我没有特别喜欢哪一种，因为我博爱啊。Tracy和Darren都很喜欢陈奕迅，他的歌曲确实很触动人。同样的我也没有特别喜欢哪一位歌手（这方面我可不博爱）。很多时候，我都是通过电影才知道一首歌的存在。
Speaking of the songs in movies, I think most of us have a common feeling that, when you have finished the movie, you may not remember the story, while you are deeply touched by a song in it. Good songs even outlives the film as time goes by. For example, As Time Go By in Casablanca, whenever it plays, you drown in it. The power of music is undeniable. No wonder some prestigious film festivals such as Oscar especially set up an award for the touching melody in the movie.
说到电影歌曲，我想很多人都有一个共同感受，就是电影看完了，故事情节也虚了，插曲却仍存在于你深深的脑海里，挥之不去。好的歌曲甚至能获得比电影更长久的生命力。电影卡萨布兰卡和插曲随时光流逝就是一个很好的例子，每次歌曲响起，都不能自拔的沦陷。音乐的影响力是毋庸置疑的。难怪世界上一些著名的电影节比如奥斯卡还专门为电影插曲设置了奖项。
Music means different things to different people. For you, maybe music is already a part of yourself-like blood and stone-that you can't live without; for him/her, music can be a of lifestyle or a healing therapy; for me, it's a way to relax, to find comfort, to feel good. Music offers emotional release. If you're happy, it makes you happier. If you're sad, it makes you feel worse until you cry, then everything is alright again. It explains why people like to go to KTV to celebrate something good or to mourn for the heartbroken breakup.
音乐在不同的人眼里有着不同的意义。对你来说，可能它已经成为身体的一部分，像血液像骨头，缺少它就活不了；对TA来说，音乐可以是一种生活方式或者一种治愈疗法；对我来说，就是放松、慰藉、自我感觉良好的方法。音乐让情感得到释放。如果你开心，它会让你更开心；如果你伤心，它会让你更伤心直到眼泪都流出来，然后，又是一条好汉。这很好的解释了为什么人们有好事的时候或者因为分手而心碎的时候都喜欢去KTV疯一场。

Let's meet some new friends: Darren works in Wistron as a engineer, likes American TV programs and basketball; Aminy works in a shoes company, her suggestion on accurate pronunciation is to imitate the tones and pronunciation by watching English movies or listening to English songs; Nancy works on foreign trade, to purchase textiles machines from Europe; Ritin works in E-park, her son is very cute; Cindy from Hunan, a Japanese translator, loves Japan's culture, songs and food etc; Tracy, sorry I couldn't catch her details but I knew the singer she likes is Eason, haha.
认识一下新朋友们：Darren在纬创工作，喜欢美剧和篮球；Aminy从事休闲鞋方面的销售，在口语发音上她给出了一些建议，就是多看英文电影和多听英文歌曲，然后模仿其中的语调和发音；Nancy从事外贸；Ritin在伊电园工作，把可爱的儿子也带来了；Cindy是湖南妹子，日语翻译；Tracy，很不好意思只听到她喜欢陈奕迅的歌。

Inter-cut: Since four new friends are added to our organizers' team, we had a small ceremony to reward them with the official ID card. They are Eric, Little Ding Ding, Alex and Sissi. Being organizers require your willing to spend time and energy on EC's events, including routine nights and outdoor activities. The holy high part was on! We got three performers: Jiona, Harry and Peter. Right, Harry, my partner, the host tonight, was gonna show his strong point.
精彩环节要上演啦！我们有三位表演者：Jiona, Harry和Peter博士。没错，我的拍档Harry，今晚的男主持啊，就要展示他的强项给大家啦。
Jiona brought us three songs with her Ukulele: Lemon Tree, a Chinese popular song and I‘m Yours which she's adept at. It was such a pleasing scene. The sound of Ukulele was soft and lively, leading you to a little fresh world of literature and art.
Jiona带来三首尤克里里琴弹奏：Lemon tree，夜空中最亮的星以及她最拿手的I‘m Yours. 那情景实在是太美好了。尤克里里琴声轻柔而活泼，带你进入一个小清新的文艺世界。
The following was Harry and Peter's special song remix. Harry as the lead singer played his guitar, Peter played his drums. People sung along. The atmosphere was like a roller coaster falling and rising. It was stirring. Boys sung songs while playing instruments look so charming and cool. The jumping notes made you wanna dance.
接下来就是颜值担当的Harry和Peter带来特别的串烧。Harry做吉他主唱，博士在一旁打鼓，大家跟着一起哼唱，这气氛就好像过山车一样一下子安静一下子高涨，激动人心啊。弹着乐器唱着歌的男士实在是太有魅力太有型啦。每一个跳跃的音符都让人想跳舞！
❤PLAYTIME❤
After the performance, we played games related to music. The first one was to guess the name of the song from the prelude. It was not that easy. Sometimes you got the lyrics but you just could not say it out. Because of this, Hunter was punished to dance with the song (too sexy to look at). Yeah, it was my good idea to come up with this punishment all of a moment. Music and dancing is a good match, isn't it? The second game was to listen to the songs with the headphone and sung the short passages we prepared, the audience guessed the name of the song accordingly. It was challenging. Just looked at the participant's struggling expression to figure out the rhythm, you would laugh so hard that your tummy hurts. In the end, there were two teams to be punished. They danced like ghosts and monsters. God, my stomach hurt again.
精彩表演结束，当然要玩点游戏啦，这环节也是很切合主题的说。第一环节是听前奏猜歌名，没有想象中简单哦。有时候抓住了歌词就是想不起歌名来。为此，Hunter受到了惩罚为歌伴舞(性感到不忍直视)。是的没错，就是我突然蹦出来的惩罚，不用听说都知道音乐和舞蹈更配哦。第二环节要戴着耳机听歌曲，我们提供一段类似新概念的文章，选手就要根据节奏唱出看到的歌词，下面的人来猜歌名。有难度啊，看看选手们那挣扎着跟节奏唱歌词的表情，就会把你笑到肚子疼。最后有两组要接受惩罚，一片接一片的群魔乱舞，天啊，肚子又疼了。
The last part was prize-giving. Weren't we so sweet to prepare small gifts for you guys? Of course, they were for our performers and game winners. The gifts were sponsored by Waili Rabit (applause).
最后就是给表演者和猜赢游戏的朋友颁发小奖品啦。我们是不是太贴心了呢！好吧奖品其实都是歪理兔赞助的，此处应有掌声“啪啪啪”。
