RuneScape Bonds net one lucky player an all
Jagex has announced that one lucky runescape gold player has managed to net himself an all-expenses-paid trip to this year's RuneFest through the RuneScape Bonds scheme.
The RuneScape Bonds scheme was introduced to allow RuneScape players the chance to earn premium content without having to spend real money and this year it was expanded greatly to include real-world benefits. The scheme has allowed Aaron James from Missouri to secure return flights to London from the US, hotel accomodation, RuneFest tickets and spending money for him and a friend all without real money.
FUT 15 Coinscannot describe the relief and realisation that our dream of coming to the UK and to RuneFest is going to happen. Without being able to buy the flight, hotel, and crystal coins with Bonds, this was never going to be realistic for us because it would be too expensive,”James enthused. “We’re just tremendously excited, and looking forward to meeting the J-Mods and some of our fellow RuneScape players next month.”
Since RuneScape Bonds were introduced in September 2013 aroind 2.3 million Bonds have been purchased with in-game currency with around 80 percent of those being redeemed for premium membership to the game. It has also had a dramatic effect on the gold-farming in the game reducing its occurance by 81 percent within weeks of the scheme's arrival.
RuneFest 2014 will take place on October the 11th at London's Tobacco Dock with pre-event party on the evening of October the 10th. More information is available over on the RuneFest official website.
