死亡圣器里所引用的埃斯库罗斯的那段话
罗琳在《哈利·波特与死亡圣器》的开头引了一段埃斯库罗斯的的《奠酒人》里的一段话，这段话的中文翻译颇为难解。这篇文章分析了埃斯库罗斯的这个故事与哈利·波特故事的极大的关联，让我对这个故事产生了极大的兴趣，又正好最近在读威廉姆斯，威廉姆斯的那个书里面以这个故事为材料讲了很多，干脆就把这个故事找来读了一下。
我能找到的中译本只有《古希腊悲剧喜剧全集》里面的王焕生的那个翻译，这个翻译非常不妙，里面好多地方非常不通顺。其中罗琳所引用的这段话翻译得比人文的这个还奇怪，所以后来又找了几个英译本，好歹这个英译本非常好找。其中Ian Johnston翻译的版本非常流畅，主要以这个版本为基础，中间一些地方还参考了Smyth的Loeb版本的翻译，还有Morshead的版本。据说Lattimore的翻译更忠实一点，但是我没找到。
罗琳所引用的这段话人文版的翻译是：
哦,那与生俱来的痛苦与折磨,
那死亡之际刺耳的尖叫,
还有那正中血脉的一击,

我不知道这个英文版是哪个版本，不过这个英文版说得也不是特别清楚。特别是第二段，there is a cure in the house. 这个话严格来说人文版的翻译也没有错。王焕生的翻译是“祖传家藏的药剂”。我不知道这个原文是什么，找了也看不懂，所以直接找英译本了。

下面来分析一下这段话到底应该是什么意思，以及和哈利·波特的关系应该是什么。埃斯库罗斯Oresteia故事三部曲大概是一个讲一个极为悲剧的家族的故事，这个家族不断地受到诅咒（具体的可以参考wiki)，里面各种情欲乱伦流血事件不断。在第一部里面，出征特洛伊归来的希腊主帅Agamemnon被他的妻子Clytemnestra联合奸夫所杀，而在第二部里面他们的儿女Orestres和Electra想要为他复仇，杀掉他的母亲，他们在给Agamemnon祭祀的时候商议该如何做，商议了很久之久下定决心来复仇，合唱队唱了这么一段。联合几个英译本就可以看出来，这个里面罗琳所引用的那个cure并不是指对人的疗伤，而是对这个遭到诅咒的家族的治愈，这个家族里面的血腥只能由家族内部的人来解决，而不是任何的外人。另外，第一句的Oh, the torment bred in the race,也不应该是“与生俱来的”，而是孕育在家族内部的。
