Chinese New Year Festival Launch 悉尼农历庆典拉开帷幕

The City of Sydney welcomed the Year of the Horse last night (Jan. 24) at the official launch of the 2014 Chinese New Year Festival.

The celebration kicked off in grand style with atraditional eye-dotting ceremony bringing dragons and lions to life, andthousands of firecrackers designed to scare off the previous year’smisfortunes.
An exclusive performance by world champion break dancers and hip hop artists from Hong Kong followed,along with a colourful puppet show directfrom Shaanxi province in China and a sneakpeak of performances from this year’s Twilight Parade on 2 February.
Crowds also enjoyed the contemporary beats of DJs live onstage, and the SBS PopAsia radio crew kept revellers entertained until lateinto the night with competitions, giveaways and non-stop Asian pop.
昨晚(1月24日), 2014年悉尼市政府中国农历新年庆典正式拉开帷幕。
今年庆典的开头彩阵容庞大,以点睛仪式开始,将沉睡的龙和狮唤醒,用连连的爆竹声辞去往日的辛劳和烦恼。
本届庆典邀请了来自香港著名街舞团体和陕西民族文化艺术团为人们带来精彩木偶剧;之后,观众们还预先领略到备受欢迎的2月2日花灯大巡游中的精彩节目。
庆典活动的序曲时分,观众欣赏了乐师现场奉献的当代音乐;同时,SBS亚洲流行音乐广播电台的节目组为所有狂欢的观众带来了丰富多彩的娱乐节目,直至夜色近深。这些精彩的娱乐节目包括:擂台赛、礼品派送,以及此起彼伏、耳熟能详的亚洲流行乐精彩,不少观众满载而归。
