在外文翻譯時經常看到這一句"A Picture is worth a thousand words."，而且老外原文還直說那來是中國古諺。但我一直想不出有哪一句是這恰當的中文源頭，通常還是使用原意直譯：「一張圖畫勝過千言萬語。」
今天搜尋到一篇研究指出它是源自『百聞不如一見』《漢書·趙充國傳》，可能轉成日文哲學又傳成英文諺語，竟自文意變體！如今兩者詞意不竟相同無法等用，極是有趣的結果，特摘錄下來參考(為方便閱讀已轉成正體中文)。
