Chapter 45
"Most of us have never allowed ourselves to want what we truly want, because we can't see how it's going to manifest." —— Jack Canfield
Trevor's first mistake was to leave the channels of contact open when he should have closed them earlier.
Trevor's second mistake was to close the channels of contact now, without thinking about how to properly do it.
As a result, Tori became greatly inconvenienced at work, for she consulted Trevor on much work, and when Trevor blacklisted her as a contact, she had no way to talk to Trevor. She had to go through a third party, which greatly embarassed her, and confuddled the third party involved, risking exposure of her intimate involvement with Trevor.
Hence, when she finally got through to Trevor, she was understandably enraged. "Please be professional about work - you can't just block people off like that, you know." Trevor said nothing.
Trevor was left with no choice but to unblock Tori from his list, again opening a floodgate of brackish water. Tori could not help mixing up personal matters within work matters, which made Trevor annoyed and exasperated. He knew it wasn't a clean break, but he didn't know what else to do about it.
Trevor seemed to have moved on over Tori, or so his friends remarked.
But, had he, truly?
Trevor would not let go of a burning rope of love, even if it charred his hands and caused him pain; he would not step out into the unknown, without a focus in romance. As such, he had a penchant to seek a rope he could hold on to, usually during the period of time where he began to realise there were too many disappointments and too much that tired him.
As behaviourial sciences would indicate, in break ups, girls are usually more decisive and quite about deciding to end things, while guys generally wait till they start another relationship to have the courage to end the current one.
And in Trevor's case, he was no exception.
All through the moments of bad karma after Tori called a break up, Trevor had been gradually shifting his world to center around someone else who had appeared in his life.
Her name was Felicia.
