MoaGear is dedicated to producing high quality, designer casual and active clothing. Designed and inspired by the extreme weather in New Zealand since the 1990’s. Our products are designed to look great and perform,when it really matters.

The team at MoaGear love living in New Zealand. Every day is different, and that includes the changing weather. Our team needs to be prepared for the elements because very often we get four seasons in one day.

Being so aware of the environment has inspired our designers to create high performance outdoor clothing that uses the most advanced fabrics and technologies available. We believe our customers deserve and want to look great, no matter if they are hiking through the Southern Alps or meeting up with friends at a café.

Moa, the brand started in the 1990's and was created 'down under' by down to earth people for those seeking clothing with a difference, while keeping with the needs of the ever changing environmental conditions.
Moa这个牌子始于二十世纪九十年代， 是由新西兰地区，结合当地实际状况的人们创造，他们在寻求一种与众不同的衣服，这种衣服适合在不断变化的环境条件中穿着。
Many years on, the Moa design team are listening to its customer's needs and wants and creating fashionable, trendy, casual apparel of excellent value and quality. We have created a natural, high performance clothing system with a fresh set of ideas based on respect for nature and sustainability using a variety of different fabrics and technologies.

The name Moa comes from a native New Zealand flightless bird that stood over 2 metres (6 feet) tall and was common on the eastern side of the South Island, where we as a company are based. It is believed that the Moa was totally extinct in 1769 when Captain Cook landed in New Zealand.

Of the extinct birds in New Zealand, there is none which appeals to the imagination so much as the gigantic flightless bird known as the Moa, and as a brand we believe that 'Moa' appeals to the imagination, the needs and the desires of our customers.
