A new day
After a few weeks struggling at work, everything eventually started to come alone with each other. Post-scrums are hazily understandable (better than absolutely clueless); small talks are brainlessly functionable; and my work is making progress.
The only thing that is more or less languishing is my poor English.
Yes, reading long articles/dialogs/gaming descriptions still gives me headache; I need to pay attention to understand the morning news; once a while, there will be some fancy word/slang/phrase makes me feel uneducated.
But hey, things are getting better.
I can contribute something to crosswords, which are or aren't related to Chinese culture. I can discuss current events (with basic vocabulary, of course). I can enjoy some tv show without subtitles. Although most of the news paper or magazine articles still denigrate my little confidence, I can eventually enjoy the beauty of the language.
(For languages, there are so many plans in my mind. French, German, Polish, Spanish, Italian... They are just way too over-whelming. Forget about it.)
Anyway, I used some of the "fancy" words, which are fancy to me, today. My grammar is still terrible. But I'm happy for now~
