The new boss coming
Oh, the new boss is not mine, but another dpt. i constantly work with. Very experienced in the industry, worked in many dpts in the company, but hey, first time comer to China.
I don't quite feel the cultural conflict so often even though i worked with different foreigners. People are all human beings and favor benefit, money, future, promotion and hate overloaded working and complicated relations. So, wise people who survive the battle field are always alike, in practices and even in mind.
But, hey, he has some humor, which would be a good sign.
Yesterday phone call with Mom was... Well. She went to a re-union party with her prior working colleagues. She was talking about their big houses at home and in Beijing and BMW SUVs, their children marriages, etc.
I felt her anxiety. So i talked her thru to make her feel better. Fundamentally, it’s a money issue. I really think that more money can make me happy. But right now since we don’t have the money, we have to stay strong and try our best to be happy, healthy and more affluent.
I got several questions from a Graduate Student candidate from Sanford School or Duke University. But I don’t know the answers.
