Predictably Irrational-chapter 1:the truth of relativity
We don't have an internal value meter that tells us how much things are worth, or what we really want. Rather, we focus on the relative advantage of one thing over another, and estimate value accordingly.
Maybe sometimes what we want just come from the jealousy and envy that spring from comparing our lot in life with that of others. Relativity(decoy) helps us make decisions in life, but it can also make us downright miserable.
What I learned from this chapter is:
Whether my decisions just made by a decoy.
The more I have, the more I want. And break the cycle of relativity to find what I really want.
