Wales的第三周
周一
上午是Cooking，跟一个来自云南的中国女孩，她在这边已经呆了七八个月了，四月份就要回去了。做了Fish和土豆，这边吃得最多的就是土豆了，烤着吃，煮着吃，炸了吃，各种花样。
下午是Garden。头一个Frustration afternoon，Garden的Tutor是个很Bossy的人，竟然坚持要House的学生做Washing，人家从没做过，而且明确表示人家不想做。她竟然说我不够Strict，坚持要我强迫人家做。还坚持要叫我的中文名字，因为她觉得自己not stupid, have no trouble remember Chinese pronounciation。当时心里就在想，下次课你再也见不到我了。课后想都没想就去跟负责Timetable的Kristine明确说明我不会再去Garden Lesson。 想到不用再见到那个Bossy的自以为是的女人就大快人心。
Tuesday
Another cooking day, we had a menu of Vegetable lasagne and salad; a bit upset because i didn't cope well with the Korean girl, she's quite small and a bit slow handed. we have to prepare three different meals for a group of people, and we have to finish it before 12:10; it's kind of normal thing to feel desperate when cooking these british food that i have never seen it before, but we made it at last.
In the afternoon was candlework lesson, I worked with a student named Sam, he's a gentle guy, though he will keep on hurting himself, but the last people he will hurt is people who worked with him, it's a nice lesson since the Tutor was Gwen, a 20-year German girl, easy go and capable girl. we made some new candles in various shape.
Wednesday
I had Preparation for the morning and Cover in the afternoon, which was really nice; cos i don't want to work with different student since i haven't know them well enough. It's turn out to be a file reading for the whole day, I read lots of students file, the files did answer lots of the question I had.
Thursday
I always happy in Thursday , coz I 'm off on this day,I made some phone calls and had a very nice walk to the farm. It's a simple and nice day.
Friday
It's another simple day, half day off and spent my afternoon in bike workshop which 6 male students were working there, my partner was Ashely, we worked together to wash a bike, he 's doing really good at the beginning, then went grumpy,and doesn't want to finish the job no matter how hard I tried to persuade him. Though it didn't work, but I learnt talk and negotiate with respect will be far more better than bossy order, it might not work at this moment, but at least you can earn trust, this is the most important thing in work. No body likes taking order.
Saturday
Another day off, I spent the morning moving my stuff to my new room in Ty barnabars, a bigger room without students, it has a very nice living room upstairs, and it's next to the Hall! So that means piano,recorder, books, KK room(the upstair room with amazing view) are easily reachable, so nice to have my own space.
After the moving, I had a nice walk with another Chinese volunteer , we went to the top of the mountain, the villages and farms and forests are all in our eyes. I love wales!
Sunday
In bible, we take a rest in Sunday, but here, it's all about work. But we always do something nice in weekends, so we drove 40mins to play bowling with the students. Not so enjoyable because we have to keep an eye on the students, but I 'm so happy I made some progress when working with students,especially with Katie King----a young lady, she's really adorable.
All in all, I'm having a life with real care in every aspect, actually it's all about life. We will spent time on cooking the food, the pie, the pizza, the salad, the cakes, the puddings, which I always rush when I in Shenzhen, and a rush life made me stressed out. I need to be serious to daily trials, I also need to be needed!
