本·琼森（1572--1637）剧作家、评论家、诗人。在世时名气甚至大过同时代的莎士比亚。诗风接近玄学派。此诗类比的手法辩男女尊卑，在我看来他所表示的对女性的轻蔑居于当时的时代原因不值得我们苛责。有些描写从古至今仍是真理，女性应从思想上独立。
不然，现代这社会，你难道还只是男人的影子吗？
