This week the trailer for Star Trek Into Darkness was released, starring Benedict Cumberbatch as an as-yet-unspecified-(but-probably-uber-villain-Khan)-baddie, and got us a bit flustered.
Oh, Benedict. Ben. Benny. Cumbers. Where did you come from? You were just a Proper Actor doing serious things on stage, and playing admirable but basically non-sexy types like Professor Stephen Hawking and Vincent Van Gogh on TV.
And then: bam. Sherlock. Only you could make literally terrifying intellect and absolutely zero emotional warmth seem alluring. Suddenly, we noticed what had been right there all along. Specifically: you’re really hot.
Hollywood’s noticed too, now. But don’t forget us, Benedict. The women of Britain are waiting for you.
Face: Is it devastatingly gorgeous, or a bit wonky? Perhaps it’s BOTH.
Body: A mystery. We would selflessly volunteer to investigate.
Eyes: Pale. Mesmerising.
Personality: Clever.
Name: Worth lots of Scrabble points.
