Does Height Disparity Matter Much? (revised version)
Walk down the street and take a quick scan of the lovers, the height disparity (usually referred to the man is taller than the woman) between them is so common that it almost has been neglected. After thinking seriously, i think that height disparity indeed matters much in a relationship.
There seldom published formal researches on this topic, which focus on the importance of height disparity, but never mind, gathering the opinion from the girls in my social network or I heard before, surely 95% of them will never choose a boyfriend shorter than themselves. Likewise, I feel the pressure of facing those male friends whose height does not reach mine.
As for why, the long-standing patriarchy should stand in the breach for this. It seems men were born to be stronger and taller than their beloved women. Similar to those who dislike develop relationships with younger men, girls tend to resist a younger-brother-looking lover. At another point, demanding a height disparity indicates our vanity in one’s attractive appearance. Even the Chinese net citizen joke that being tall, rich and handsome is an iconic quality for an attractive man. Besides, girls won’t endure the annoyance of being away of the high-heels just because they have a taller boyfriend.
I stand by the majority to view this height disparity phenomenon in relationships, still some lovers ignore it and hit it off. True love can break through all kinds of obstacles, like Jack and Rose, yet that love ought to be once in a blue moon.
