Abt the last week
Last Monday I had lost the data of a mindmap file which directly caused my loss of the notes of the previous week. Well, I restarted it the next day and made maps on a daily base.
The Tuesday I did a terrible thing that I left air-conditioner running all day lone at home even without closing the windows of room~ sigh~ Had fried chicken meat again and that’s about too much oil so to speak.
I got a information booklet in the bookstore in town and climbed upstairs to find my mails during the university on Wednesday. Yep, I got it. I found a lot articles as well from the attic including my text books on university level. I had always remembered that my text books were thrown away during the graduate season. I had also got my roller shoes and a flute from my primary school. I am going to get membrane from the bookstore to see if the flute can work well. Probably three or more information booklets because my mails from university and after graduation were not yet all managed.
and last of all, I went for the toastmaster yesterday evening and I was regret to say I was late again. I took a university mate to the club to introduce him kind of a youth culture springing up in wuxi city. I am not sure but he was not showing much interest. Before the club time ,we got connected on the internet making sure that he can find the place. I had thought he could get on time because it is part of manners. And he did. He set up at an early time but just got himself lost. I was arrived at the place ten minutes earlier and only by then I tried to make phone calls to confirm the time. The mate talked me about his location but I had no idea how to arrive here from the place. I suggested him taking a taxi and I would pay it. I know and I knew it was an inappropriate proposal however, it is more important to me to be punctual for meeting and moreover, I was not familiar with the location of the meeting place. University mate told me he could himself get to the room while I can join it right away. err… I definitely cannot do that I know as being a host of city. well, it turned out that I waited over ten minutes before he walked all the way to the place and when we arrived at the upstairs, the reception ignored my quest about the club in the beginning. I know something was wrong and I had to handle with all of it. I was also aware that I didn’t want to miss the meeting. I asked for the exact room of the meeting from the reception lady after trials and we both headed for it immediately. The meeting had already started for at least ten minutes and I know we probably missed the warm-up part. I tried to ask if we would be allowed in then by greeting to a club member I know. Thank godness. The club member showed me two chairs and there we were. Finally.
Today’s meeting had a few members back to and a dozen of guests. During the break, I managed to pay my registration fees and filled out a blank sheet of paper, in the hopes that I can start my Ice Break speech ASAP. I didn’t participate in the table topic section. That’s truly a pity. As a result, I didn’t get practiced speaking much English during the meeting. I was kind of surprised at the section of table topic that one guest named adem volunteered to speak on the stage. The guest was new to me though I was only be there twice. That something occurred to me that I had passed a business card of the club to the boy in a match-making activity in the last week and I was not sure he was present at the meeting, though mom told me later on that the boy planned to meet me in the beginning of national holiday, which means the boy would not come for the club before the national holiday. well, I shall have my plans for the national holiday and I would probably not in town then. never knows.
Today’s word is stunning. Stunning is similar to amazing and surprising.
err… I decided to make cards for my ice break speech. Just a thought. I should be able to do that, my first challenge at TMC.
My introspection: as being a host of city, I should make everything sure that we would be punctual for the meeting including the route, time, and schedule. For me personally, I should set up earlier to get to the place in advance so as to prepare for the accident. On the other hand, I was thinking that for many times I have been getting used setting up plans, acting out plans myself instead of a team. That gives me more freedom and as well as most factors are under control. Err, I went with the univ mate in the Chongan Temple fair and we accidently saw a ID card left on the ground in front of one store. In the beginning, I didn’t saw it. When the mate told me about it, I have no idea with the lost and found desk at the mall. The result was we left the card there hoping the owner would come back for it. I was trying not to get any trouble. It is not … err… it is not okay to leave it there since I caught a glaze at it…….
