Sill a period of time before class, so I just walked around to have a closer look at this lovely place .There is a movie room which is fully equipped with many modern conveniences. Seated myself at one of the chair, I also noticed that on the glass wall hangs a lot of movie posters. A little excited, I found HP, beautiful mind, which are both my favor. “Wow, it feels like a small movie theater” I said to myself. It’s amazing that one can enjoy the movie and then talk with others about the topic concerned with the movie, and it’s truly a fantastic idea to combine entertainment and language-learning. Next to it is the library room. Stepping into it, I can’t help but picture this in my mind: In the afternoon, you take a book off the shelf, quietly sit by the table and read it. Time freezes, you are absorbed in the book and take adventures with the characters. Reading is no longer boring if you can settle down and fully concentrate.
The classes in FRIENDSCUBE were not as difficult as I thought before, on the contrary, it was a lot of fun as well as useful. In the discussion part, Walter handed us some cards with pictures that described a particular situation. Then we were told to get out of the seat and find a parterner to play the role. I was a little shy at first cause I don’t think I’m the type of the person who can always start the conversation, but soon I found that everybody here were friendly and all I had to do was chatted with them without worrying about the mistakes. So I became more and more active, and use all the excuses I can think of to refuse my parterner’s invention. I might make millions of mistakes in my sentences, but who cares? More importantly, I put what I have learned to the test, and made a lot of progress. Everybody had fun there and became more confident. It occurred to me that I might have a better choice to learn English, I don’t have to turn to my dictionary all the time, I can choose the face-to-face method to practice my oral English . The best way to learn a language is through communication. I also notice that Walter carried his notebook and seems to jog down sth, at last, I found that he have written down the mistakes we made and taught us the proper expression. How conscientious is he!
